Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Cloud Consultant to join our team of Google Workspace experts. Reporting into the Workplace Practice Lead, this role will play a pivotal part in driving the adoption and success of Google Workspace and related technologies for our clients, with a focus on enhancing productivity, collaboration, and security. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the entire lifecycle of their Google Workspace journey, from initial consultation and solution design to deployment, change management, and ongoing support.

This is not purely a pre-sales role; you will work closely with delivery teams, ensuring the technical success of the projects you scope through your mentorship of a team of delivery engineers. We are passionate about the transformative power of Google Workspace, and we are looking for someone who shares this enthusiasm and is eager to make a significant impact on our clients' business. This role is for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about workplace technology, and have a proven track record of success in a client-facing role.

Responsibilities

As a Cloud Consultant, you will proactively collaborate with the sales team to qualify opportunities, develop persuasive proposals, and deliver captivating presentations and demos that resonate with client objectives. You will participate in client meetings alongside sales and Google representatives, offering your technical expertise and guidance to ensure successful outcomes. By showcasing the transformative potential of Google Workspace through engaging demos and compelling success stories, you will inspire clients and guide them on their journey to the cloud.

Furthermore, you will actively engage with clients to gain a deep understanding of their unique requirements, meticulously documenting them to ensure accurate scoping and seamless project execution. You will play a crucial role in educating clients about the advantages of cloud computing and Google Workspace, leveraging your active involvement in both internal and external Google communities. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading the response to RFPs and RFIs, effectively articulating our unique value proposition and consistently meeting deadlines.

Collaboration will be key as you work hand-in-hand with delivery and support teams to establish a clear and efficient delivery model for each client, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation. You will foster and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within your assigned accounts, including senior leadership, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and success. As a champion of Qodea's values, you will actively contribute to sustainability and social responsibility initiatives, making a positive impact on both the environment and the community.

Requirements

  • Google Workspace and Ecosystem Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the Google Workspace ecosystem, including Google Workspace core products (Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc.), Chrome, ChromeOS, AppSheet, and other related technologies, as well as emerging GenAI technologies. Experience in deploying, administering, and troubleshooting these solutions is essential.
  • Technical Pre-sales Acumen: Proven experience in a technical pre-sales or consulting role, demonstrating the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business solutions.
  • Client Engagement and Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and articulate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will be confident, comfortable, and articulate in front of customers, and won't shy away from challenging and influencing decision-makers.
  • Solution Design and Scoping: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyse client requirements, design tailored solutions, and accurately scope projects for successful delivery. This includes demonstrating attention to detail and healthy negotiation and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
  • Change Management and Adoption: Experience in driving user adoption and change management initiatives, ensuring clients realise the full value of their Google Workspace investment.
  • Project Management and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You will possess the ability to work with minimal supervision, a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and leading others to those deadlines.
  • Self-Motivation and Drive: A proactive and self-directed approach to work, with a self-starter, positive, and competitive attitude. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively, while demonstrating a willingness to contribute to a great culture, deliver new ideas to the role, and go the extra mile for customer needs.

Desirable Skills

  • Google Workspace Certifications: Current certifications in Google Workspace (e.g., Google Workspace Administrator, Google Cloud Certified Professional Collaboration Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • Consulting or Professional Services Experience: Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of client engagement and project delivery methodologies.
  • Identity Management and Security: Familiarity with identity management and security solutions (e.g., Okta, Google Cloud Identity, Entra), with the ability to design and implement secure and compliant Google Workspace environments.
  • Cloud Infrastructure and Applications: Understanding of cloud infrastructure and application deployment models, including traditional infrastructure and application deployments, enabling you to guide clients on their broader cloud journey.
  • Business Acumen: General knowledge of business operations and processes beyond IT, allowing you to align Google Workspace solutions with broader business objectives.
  • Microsoft Workplace Technologies: Knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft workplace technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Office, Entra, Active Directory) to support customers in their transition to Google Workspace.
