Job Description

*** Our responses to your applications may be a little slower over the festive period so please bear with us ***

The Role

Not On The High Street is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join their small but dynamic Product Team. The candidate will report directly to the Head of Product & Design and play a crucial role in shaping the company's product vision and strategy. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with the team to navigate the company's technology platform transformation whilst maintaining and enhancing the front-end experience. As a key member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to directly influence product development from day one, helping to identify and prioritise ideas that can be transformed into tangible customer and partner experiences.

Accountabilities

  • You will lead product discovery phases – hosting workshops to understand the real challenges and define what needs to be solved and why. You love hosting these workshops, and post-it notes and sharpies are a staple in your product toolkit!
  • You'll ensure our partners' and customers' needs are always at the heart of what we're building, working with our users directly and talking to them frequently.
  • You'll define the outcomes we need to prioritise and set realistic timelines to hit those goals, being able to balance these with business and technology viability.
  • You are relentless in getting to the heart of the problem to be solved, focusing on outcomes rather than solutions.
  • You will build the foundations needed for a great relationship with our developers - creating a clear and concise backlog. You will ensure that when we commit to building something, we can do so efficiently. You will contribute to core activities such as backlog refinement, grooming, and writing user stories.
  • You will identify clear, measurable metrics to track the impacts of change on product performance, customer and business goals.

Some key skills and experience you’ll need...

Technical skills:

  • You have been working in Product for 6+ years in the Marketplace/eCommerce consumer space.
  • You understand the whole customer journey and can work independently on improving our experience at any stage from acquisition through to delivery or in the partner supply space.
  • You thrive on talking to customers and then working with the business and technology teams to build something exciting.
  • A secret tech enthusiast at heart, you know enough about APIs and web services to have technical conversations and get the details needed to be 'sprint ready'.
  • You will own the backlog and be a Jira magician. You will be the go-to person for the business to understand what is being built now and in the future.
  • You will manage various aspects of squad operations, from quarterly planning to sprint planning, ensuring focus.
  • You will integrate user research, market analysis, and customer feedback into product requirements to ensure our products satisfy customer needs.

Human skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and passion for the NOTHS brand.
  • Ambitious and driven to muck in and rebuild a legacy company, happy to juggle multiple responsibilities to get there.
  • A self-starter with a bias for action and quick decision-making, great at execution and quickly overcoming roadblocks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to advise, influence, persuade, and prioritise within your team, and skilled at working effectively across functions.

Don’t meet every single requirement? No problem. Your strengths, passion & fresh perspective could be just what we’re looking for - so we encourage you to apply!
