Job Description

We’re on a mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.

We close critical skill gaps in the workforce through a new kind of apprenticeship that combines work and learning. We begin by recognizing high-potential individuals both inside and outside of a company's current workforce and then we create applied, guided and equitable learning programs, with measurable impact. Because we believe the world needs a better way to match its potential.

We work with over 1,500 leading companies including the likes of Microsoft, Citi and Just Eat to help solve their business-critical problems, and we’ve trained over 16,000 professional apprentices in the tech and data skills of the future. This is made possible by our global team who are driven to achieve a mission that matters, together.

Join Multiverse and help us set a new course for work.

The Opportunity

As part of the Learning Assessment team you will be at the heart of our learning data - understanding how apprentices are progressing in their journey and how we can best support them. We want to make sure that we provide delightful experiences for our apprentices whilst delivering valid and reliable assessments.

A key component of this role is thinking about how to leverage technology, different assessment methods and the power of feedback whilst maintaining rigour to unlock scale. Help disrupt traditional models of education through designing inclusive authentic assessments and automating apprentice progress tracking to deliver personalised interventions at scale.

You will design, validate and lead assessment experiments that test an apprentice’s proficiency in knowledge, skills and behaviours. In this role you will need to be a self-starter, showing initiative, working with cross functional stakeholders and managing priorities to solve problems, escalate issues and make decisions.

Specifically you will...

Design and deliver assessments

  • Work with multiple teams in the business to deliver assessments - from learning designers to scope content to enabling coaches to interpret the results.

  • Create bespoke assessments for specific requirements - we often need creative solutions to new problems.

  • Critically evaluate the rigour, reliability and validity of our assessments.

  • Use data to inform strategy and design decisions.

Help shape our product

  • Work with our Tech team to define and shape assessment features based on research-backed evidence and industry best practices.

  • Design the assessment strategy for new learning programmes.

  • Advise on new initiatives and their connections with our platform.

Empower others

  • Help enable coaches and apprentices on how to use our tools, processes and results and how to get the best out of them.

  • Support other teams to embed Assessment best practices and act as an advisor.

  • Continuously review, iterate and improve our suite of assessments based on feedback.

About you...

  • Experience in the full assessment design and evaluation process

  • Highly driven by attention to detail

  • Passionate about creating tools and processes to help learners achieve their full potential

  • Keep abreast of latest learning technologies and relevant research

  • Can analyse the quality, validity and reliability of an assessment and make improvements accordingly

  • You understand the nuances and implications of formative and summative assessments and feel confident in articulating your design choices

  • Incorporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in everything that you do

  • Comfortable with the unknown - we work in a fast paced environment and often are faced with novel challenges that no one’s solved before. Need to be comfortable navigating ambiguity and charting the path forward.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with apprenticeships (IFATE standards and KSBs)

  • Data analysis skills and tools such as Excel, SQL, Python.

  • Contextual experience of technical skills is helpful but not essential (e.g. data science, data analytics, software engineering, cyber security, DevOps, etc)

This role will follow a hybrid work model and candidates will be expected to commute to Multiverse’s London office 1 day a week.
