Job Description

Technical Director Project Management

  • Responsible for resourcing, and the quality and timely delivery of my design portfolio within the PDS Program
  • Understand the project requirements and work diligently with the project manager to enable satisfactory completion of the project’s technical requirements, engineering, and documentation within the set timeframes.
  • Deliver true bottom-up ETC calculations to the Project Manager each month, based on the efficient delivery of the design by the team.
  • Communicate effectively and often with PDS Design Lead, and will provide transparent, accurate and timely communications.
  • Develop strong working relationships with my peers, our Project Managers, PDS Design Lead and stakeholders.
  • Manage and lead Design team to effectively and efficiently deliver the project designs from a cost, time, and quality perspective.
  • Execute the PDS projects as a national program of work in line with a national standardised PDS approach
  • Develop and maintain project resourcing requirements and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and the PDS Design Lead.
  • Management of all design related documents on the agreed platforms.
  • Escalation of technical issues to the National Design Lead as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Adherence to Quality and review requirements on all projects, including Mott MacDonald methodology requirements
  • Manage design RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, hold points identification and inspections during Deliver
