Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy. We are a leading consultancy within Singapore and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Technical Director Mechanical to join our Buildings Market.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Lead, contribute and oversee detailed design and construction supervision of building mechanical services, particularly on ACMV for aviation, commercial, industrial, infrastructure and institutional building projects.
  • Lead the team to deliver, project management, relationship management and technical design responsibilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders on projects starting from concept stage, design, contract documentation, authority submissions, site administration to project completion.
  • Help support the seamless integration of all other building disciplines and sectors at project level across the organisation.
  • Assist in providing mentoring and development of junior mechanical/building services engineers.
  • Contribution to technical development within the team.
  • Experience in the master-planning and design of precinct level district cooling systems.
  • Extensive experience designing centralised chilled water systems that achieve total system efficiency aligned to the highest green building sustainability benchmarks.
  • Undertake QP role in ACMV, DCS, Plumbing and Sanitary and other mechanical related roles in the capacity of QP (Mechanical) for projects

About you:

  • Possess a Professional Engineers Board (Singapore) practicing certificate/recognised university degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 15 years’ experience in building mechanical services design and execution for major development & projects with a consultancy background.
  • Experience of working in various building and infrastructure projects including industrial, performance venues, mixed development, aviation, retail, education, healthcare, data centre and commercial.
  • Solid knowledge in Singapore building standards, as QP, PD and PM experience on projects.
  • A collaborative, open and constructive approach with highly developed relationship management, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • A digital and sustainability advocate.
