Job Description

We are looking for a highly capable and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer – Utilities to support the engineering, installation, and commissioning of utility electrical systems for a power plant project in Gujarat. The role involves managing systems such as water treatment plants, HVAC, lighting, compressed air, and auxiliary power distribution.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Design and oversee installation of electrical systems for utility services including:

  • Raw water and DM water systems

  • HVAC systems

  • Lighting and small power distribution

  • Compressed air systems

  • Sewage and effluent treatment plants

  • Review and approve electrical layouts, SLDs, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, EPC contractors, and vendors for timely execution.

  • Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, and other relevant codes and standards.

  • Conduct inspections, FATs, and commissioning of utility electrical systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and operation.

  • Ensure safety compliance and support HSE initiatives.

  • Maintain documentation including test reports, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.

The candidate must have

  • Strong understanding of auxiliary systems and their electrical requirements.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design tools.

  • Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and ensure quality execution.

  • Knowledge of Gujarat state regulations and local site conditions.

Minimum qualification

  • BE / BTech in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience: 10+ years

  • Industry: Industrial Projects
