The Opportunity

  • Design development of Electrical Services (LV) in various stage of building and/or other projects, including tender, conceptual, schematics and detail design stages; contract documentation, authority submissions, contract administration, attending site meetings.
  • Providing design calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • Hands on electrical services design for a range of projects and able to operate as an electrical services designer role for medium and large-scale projects.
  • To assist reviewing and preparation of general and specifications or project, review contractor’s shop drawing and alternative design proposal.
  • Liaise with other discipline designers to resolve design development.
  • Supporting the firm’s compliance in maintaining ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirement.
  • Delivery of projects and ensure that technical deliverables are on-time and within budget.
  • Play an active role contributing to technical excellence in our Electrical Practice.
  • Opportunity to develop further as a leader and as a subject matter specialist. Lead and mentor graduate/junior engineers.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and or related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in electrical engineering/building services industry in a consulting firm essential.
  • Experience with BIM (Revit) skills, ETAP, Trimble ProDesign, Dialux, or a willingness to learn computer modelling techniques/tools, e.g.,
  • Working towards professional or chartered engineering status.
  • Understanding of local regulatory and code requirements. Willing to learn the Singapore codes and regulation, and specific client requirement.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a growth mindset.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex issues and concepts clearly, succinctly and with influence.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • A strong digital solutions drive with an interest and enthusiasm for sustainability.
  • Commercially astute with good client facing acumen who is open to new ideas and innovation.
  • Willing to fly to Singapore to attend necessary client face to face meetings. Normal expectation once or twice per month. Each time 1-2 days in Singapore. Travel and accommodation fee will be covered by the company.
