About the business unit
The Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald's regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across five key Sectors; Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water. We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.
Overview of the role
We're looking for a talented Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Buildings team, helping deliver innovative and sustainable solutions across some of the UK's most exciting building and infrastructure projects.Our team delivers a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure projects, across the UK and Europe. You'll contribute to projects ranging from complex healthcare estates and secure defence infrastructure through to major commercial developments, sports and entertainment venues, and large-scale regeneration schemes. This is an opportunity to lead the delivery of complex civil engineering solutions on some of the UK's most prestigious building and infrastructure projects, while influencing project outcomes, mentoring developing engineers and helping shape the future growth of our Buildings business. You will take ownership of project elements and contribute to delivering a high standard of work, while supporting a collaborative and positive team environment. You will also play a role in developing our Buildings portfolio through strong project delivery and participation in business development activities. You'll be joining a highly connected, national, multi-disciplinary team with the opportunity to collaborate with specialists across disciplines including structural engineering, building services, architecture, project management and sustainability. This breadth of expertise means you'll have the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while continuing to develop your own specialisms and interests.
