Your Opportunity

As our Transport team continues to grow, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Rail Engineer or Senior Rail Designer to join our Brisbane office. You’ll be part of a diverse, passionate team with a proven track record of delivering major projects across Australia. This is your chance to coordinate, innovate, and grow—while making a real difference.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping landmark rail projects across Southeast Queensland and beyond. You’ll oversee track and alignment design, mentor emerging talent, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality, future-ready solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing track and alignment designs, including requirements definition, digital design (12D, Bentley tools), CAD drafting, design reviews, and reporting.
  • Managing quality and ensuring excellence in design deliverables.
  • Guiding project teams with clear communication, resource planning, and collaborative leadership.
  • Delivering geometric and earthworks design with input from multidisciplinary teams.
  • Producing design outputs for drawings and reports that drive project success.

About You

You’re a trusted expert and collaborative leader. You will bring technical excellence, a commitment to integrity, and a passion for making a positive impact. You will also have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering
  • RPEQ registration or the ability to obtain it within 6 months desirable
  • Proven experience in track and alignment design for mainline and yards.
  • Proficiency in OpenRail Designer and ideally 12D.
  • Strong understanding of quality processes and project delivery.
  • Ability to undertake CAD drafting and document design processes.
  • High-level collaboration skills and a teamwork mindset.
  • Experience with kinematic analysis and business development is a plus.
