Job Description

We are seeking a senior transportation professional to serve as Market Leader for our New Jersey and New York City operations. This strategic leadership role will focus on expanding our transportation portfolio - particularly in highways and bridges - by driving business development, strengthening client relationships, and overseeing project delivery across both markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead market growth initiatives in NJ and NYC, identifying and pursuing strategic transportation opportunities.
• Represent Mott MacDonald externally, acting as a brand ambassador within the transportation, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
• Build and maintain strong networks with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to support business development and project success.
• Provide oversight and guidance on project delivery, ensuring quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to proposal development and strategic planning efforts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geographies to support regional and national pursuits.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative work environment aligned with Mott MacDonald’s values.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation infrastructure, with a strong presence in the NJ and NYC markets.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey or New York required
• Proven track record in business development, client engagement, and project leadership.
• Technical experience in highway and bridge design and delivery.
• Strong communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
