Mechanical Engineer – Water Team (Auckland)

Your opportunity to thrive

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 1–3 years of experience and a passion for project delivery to join our Auckland Water team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful water and wastewater infrastructure projects that serve communities and protect the environment.

In this role, you’ll support the design and delivery of a wide range of projects — from large municipal treatment plants to commercial and industrial systems. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and technical leaders, contributing to concept and detailed design development, and assisting in the preparation of specifications, drawings, and schedules.

You’ll also have the opportunity to:

  • Learn from and collaborate with global specialists
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams
  • Grow your technical and project coordination skills

What you’ll bring

  • A degree in mechanical engineering
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, or industrial treatment projects
  • Exposure to mechanical systems such as pump stations, chemical dosing, and treatment plant installations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn
