Responsibilities:

• Ability to manage complex groundwater projects/components
• A good understanding of water related issues in the environment and mining sector
• Excellent data interpretation skills and formulation of hydrogeological conceptual models
• Conceptual and numerical models
• Construction, calibration and processing of groundwater and contaminant transport models (principally MODFLOW and MT3D) for a variety of clients and purposes
• Knowledge and experience in Reporting
• Adept in development of project specific data management, analysis, and reporting needs.
• Knowledge of mapping and management of datasets and analysis techniques to support projects.
• Ability to handle data gathering/management, query and performs analysis.
• Developing figures and other deliverables.
• Preparation of draft plans/technical reports including: tables, metadata, and figures.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in GIS, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, water resources or related field.
• 6 to 8+ years of groundwater modeling experience. Experience should include creating finite difference analysis models, working with GIS file formats, public data. Experience within the environmental consulting industry is a major plus.
• Programming knowledge (VBA, Python, or other)
• Must possess good knowledge with MODFLOW and Microsoft Office products.
• Must have an understanding of coordinate systems and projections, the ability to troubleshoot technology, and a solid understanding of modeling principles.
• Must be a self-directed, problem solver capable of successfully managing competing priorities.
