Job Summary

The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, maintaining and controlling project and plant documentation related to the manufacturing of solar cells and solar modules. The role ensures that all technical, quality and project documents are accurate, up to date and compliant with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an efficient document control system for engineering, construction, quality and manufacturing documents
  • Manage submission, tracking, distribution and archiving of documents such as drawings, specifications, SOPs, method statements and reports
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, procurement and project teams to ensure correct document versions are used
  • Ensure all documents comply with project requirements, ISO standards and client guidelines
  • Maintain document registers, transmittals and logs for internal and external stakeholders
  • Control access to controlled documents and maintain confidentiality
  • Support audits by providing accurate and timely documentation
  • Handle document revisions and ensure superseded documents are properly archived
  • Monitor document timelines and follow up with relevant teams to avoid delays

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Document Controller in a manufacturing or industrial project environment
  • Prior experience in solar manufacturing, renewable energy, EPC, industrial plants or heavy engineering projects is preferred
  • Strong understanding of document control procedures and quality management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage deadlines effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution
