Roles and Responsibilities:

Summary

Role Purpose: Provide document control support for PMO governance and global projects.
Key Skills: EDMS proficiency, organizational skills, adaptability.
Experience: 3–5 years in document control within engineering or infrastructure projects.

Position Overview

The Document Controller will report to the Sr. Specialist Document Controller, Project Controls Manager and support the Senior Specialist Document Control Administrator within the GSS PMO. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will maintain structured document repositories and ensure compliance with PMO and client standards.

Description of Duties

• Maintain structured document repositories and ensure compliance with PMO standards.

• Issue and track deliverables, ensuring alignment with client templates and CAD standards.

• Assist with the development and implementation of document flow procedures.

• Organize, categorize, and upload documents into EDMS platforms.

• Support project reporting and stakeholder communication.

• Perform periodic reviews of project files for accuracy and compliance.

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely document processing.

• Manage urgent deliverables and adapt to non-linear workflows as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in information technology, engineering, construction management, or business administration; or equivalent experience.

• 3–6 years in document control within engineering or infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in EDMS tools (Aconex, ProCore, Primavera Unifier) and Microsoft SharePoint.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Excellent Problem-Solving Skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or additional years of experience in document control.

• Certification in document management or records management.

• Experience in capital project/program environments.

• Knowledge of design and construction documentation processes.

• Ability to perform QA/QC audits of document control operations.
