Mott MacDonald is seeking a passionate and motivated Advisory Intern to join our growing team in Vancouver and is an exciting opportunity for a student to contribute and support a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and development projects across Canada. As an Advisory Intern, you’ll collaborate with experienced and multidisciplinary teams, supporting the planning, development, and delivery of infrastructure projects across different sectors, clients and lifecycle stages.

Alongside the team, you will be assigned to a variety of projects in your chosen area of interest, working to deliver sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities

As an Advisory Intern, with guidance from a professional consultant and our global practice network, your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

• Support project teams in developing and delivering services such as:
• Feasibility Analyses/Studies and Business Cases including options development, appraisal and evaluation
• Economic and socio-economic impact assessments and modelling
• Stakeholder engagement and coordination
• Risk analysis and assessment
• Procurement options analysis, alternative/collaborative procurement methodologies, technical and commercial advisory
• Digital Strategy, data and project information management
• Assist in the application of infrastructure planning and development frameworks and tools across infrastructure projects
• Conduct research, data analysis, and contribute to technical reports and presentations
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and team meetings
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and regions to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Contribute to proposal development and business development activities as appropriate
• Actively participate in our Early Careers Professionals Network

We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business/commerce, economics or a related field
• A strong interest in infrastructure advisory, infrastructure planning, development and management
• Strong analytical, research, problem solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative
• Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to impactful work

This position is located in Vancouver, BC. You must be able to reliably commute to our office in this location, per our hybrid working policy.

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $21.00 - $30.00 per hour.
Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
