Overview of role

We are looking for a Qualified Management Accountant or equivalent by experience to join the Group Finance Systems team reporting to the Finance Systems Operations Manager. The role will take system ownership of our management reporting, billing module and cost models.

Understanding the transactional level detail of the management reports will be key in building experience and confidence in how the reporting works in order to take on responsibility as the subject matter expert for management reporting.

The individual will be required to understand reporting requirements from senior stakeholders and produce specification documents to facilitate the development of the enhancements. This role will see you working with end users as they adopt the new ERP system and will be responsible for training and handling technical queries.The role will have line management responsibility for 1-2 employees.

Key Duties

  • Owning the change management process for system development (reviewing the request, creating a design specification, test in different environments and publish updates or make announcements for every release).

  • Ensure the testing of core system upgrades and enhancements is performed to a high level.

  • Managing and taking ownership of the Group MyFinance and ServiceNow resolver group, including assisting with resolving general queries.

  • Oversee the resolving of project cost and invoicing queries.

  • Support developers in order to expedite release of BO report changes (attend technical and sprint meetings)

  • Interface with Group IT team to resolve system or report issues.

  • Resolving advanced Management Accounting reports and system queries.

  • Oversee the setup and update of cost models

  • Support adhoc tasks and special projects

Essential

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

  • Strong management accounting experience

  • Understanding of finance systems and accounting processes

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

  • Able to establish good working relationships with colleagues in other functions and work collaboratively

  • Able to work on own initiative

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Deltek Maconomy
