About the division

The Water Consultancy Division is Mott MacDonald’s centre of excellence for responding to water and wastewater challenges, offering fantastic opportunities to get involved in diverse and technically challenging work. The work we do is at the forefront of ensuring safe water supplies for future generations and protecting our environment. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide a variety of services throughout the full project life cycle, from advisory services and feasibility studies, through outline and detailed design, to construction support and site supervision.

We are a multi-discipline team comprising civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process engineering delivering services to our clients such as feasibility studies, scheme designs and detailed designs. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Wessex Water, and several leading Tier 1 contractors. Using the latest design software, working to industry best practice standards, with assistance from our industry experts you will be given the opportunity to push the boundaries of what is possible. The development of our staff will enable us to elevate and upskill our teams, enabling us to deliver a better world around us.

About the role

Are you ready to dive into the world of water infrastructure? The Water Consultancy Division (WCD) in the Southwest are recruiting for a talented BIM/Revit Technician to join our passionate team. If you’re enthusiastic about creating precise 3D models, construction drawings, and design deliverables for water and wastewater projects, this role is perfect for you!

As a BIM/Revit Technician, you’ll work closely with our experienced team to transform design concepts into detailed engineering deliverables and build your skills and knowledge. Your role will involve creating accurate 3D models, construction drawings, and design documentation for water and wastewater projects.

Key Duties:

  • BIM Modelling: Develop and maintain 3D models using Revit, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  • Construction Drawings: Translate design concepts into precise construction drawings, adhering to industry standards.
  • Design Deliverables: Assist in producing engineering deliverables, including plans, sections, and elevations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to integrate BIM processes and enhance project efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and validate BIM models and drawings for accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma: Relevant qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • BIM Proficiency: Familiarity with Autodesk Revit and BIM software.
  • Project Experience: Interest in water and wastewater projects.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to modelling and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Team Player: Ability to work in a team or independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
