Job Description

Our graduate building services engineers are responsible for the functional design which takes buildings from an empty shell to a pleasant space to live and work in. Our teams are responsible for ensuring health and safety requirements are met, while creating a visually appealing and comfortable environment.

As a building services engineer you will be helping to provide cost effective and sustainable solutions to ensure buildings perform in an efficient and effective manner. Our projects are not just within the UK, they are international. They also span a variety of sectors, including defence, transport, utilities, energy, public and private sector. Some of our notable projects include:

  • Major football stadiums including the new Everton Stadium and upgrades to Anfield Stadium
  • One Nine Elms, the tallest residential building in Europe
  • Numerous major hospitals, including Guys and St Thomas’s, in addition to informing national policy
  • Helping to inform national net zero Carbon policy with the Govt’ dept of Energy Security and Net Zero.

Our building services engineers tend to specialise in either the electrical or mechanical aspects of engineering design:

Electrical: Some of the exciting projects you’ll be involved in include the design of necessities such as power, lighting, fire detection and alarm systems and security.

Mechanical: you’ll help to create a comfortable environment by designing the mechanical components of necessities such as heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and domestic water services.

As part of the application process, you will be asked to select your preferred opportunity based on the location and whether the opportunity specialises in electrical building services engineering or mechanical building services engineering. If you have studied electrical or mechanical engineering, then we encourage you to select the associated opportunity. Candidates with an alternative degree (list below) can select an opportunity based on their preference, skills and knowledge.

We have opportunties in the following locations: Aberdeen; Altrincham; Birmingham; Brighton; Bristol; Cambridge; Croydon; Edinburgh; Glasgow; Inverness; Leeds; London; Newcastle; Sheffield.

For this reason, we are not able to accept applications from candidates who would be working under the Graduate visa route or other time-limited visas, (irrespective of visa duration), due to their temporary nature and the requirement for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route in future.
