Insight into the role

We’re looking to hire a talented Senior Product designer with experience of working through the full product life cycle, that can work autonomously in a well-disciplined design team. The individual will use initiative and work proactively alongside the noise of everyday activity.

The individual would be involved in every step of the product design process to ensure customer needs are truly met and that we provide both suitable and satisfactory solutions.

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced designers.
  • Lead design projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Advocate for design best practices and foster a culture of design excellence.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Develop and articulate a vision for the product’s design and user experience.
  • Contribute to product strategy and roadmaps with a deep understanding of business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and influence product direction.

Advanced Design Skills:

  • Possess a high level of proficiency in design tools and methodologies such as Figma and Prototyping tools.
  • Demonstrate expertise in user-centered design principles and processes.
  • Deliver complex and high-quality design solutions that address user needs and business objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Present design concepts and decisions confidently, with a clear rationale.
  • Build strong relationships with product management, engineering, marketing, and other teams.

Management:

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain design timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within design projects.

User Research and Data Analysis:

  • Conduct and interpret user research to inform design decisions.
  • Utilise data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of design solutions.
  • Iterate designs based on user feedback and performance metrics.

Innovative Problem-Solving:

  • Tackle complex design challenges with creative and effective solutions.
  • Push the boundaries of conventional design to deliver innovative products.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies.

Holistic Design Approach:

  • Ensure consistency and coherence across all product touchpoints.
  • Consider the entire user journey and experience, beyond individual features.
  • Collaborate on the development of design systems and standards.

Business Acumen:

  • Understand the broader business context and market dynamics.
  • Align design initiatives with business goals and customer needs.
  • Contribute to the company’s competitive advantage through design.
  • Collaboration and Facilitation:
  • Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and design sprints.
  • Encourage collaboration and open communication within and across teams.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts related to design decisions.

What value you’ll bring to the role

  • Hands-on experience as a Senior Product Designer, who has worked through the full life-cycle in a disciplined environment - put into every day practice.
  • Experience taking broad, conceptual ideas and creating useful and desirable customer experiences that impact our business goals
  • Demonstrable experience making user-informed design decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative behavioural data.
  • The drive to identify problems and act on opportunities to improve the product offering
  • Experience working on designs for iOS and Android & cross platform solutions.
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and clearly articulate design decisions convincingly
  • Experience building and maintaining an enterprise-level design system
  • Proficient with Figma and Adobe suite.
