About the role
The Data Analytics team plays an essential role in helping the business achieve its goals and are actively involved in identifying unique areas where data can add more value to our customers. We use machine learning, data-driven experimentation, and analytics techniques with a tech stack involving Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GitHub, DBT and Tableau to gain insight into user behaviour, and optimise marketing and user experience.
Far more than number crunchers, MoneySuperMarket data analysts influence the direction of the company through actionable data-driven insight. The data analyst will work with the rest of the team to find opportunities for personalisation, monitor performance of experiments, develop and track critical metrics, and automate manual processes.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR;
In this hands-on role, you will apply your communications, technical and problem-solving skills to:
- Work pro-actively within the data analytics team to deliver high impact projects that will:
- Empower people across the business to make data-driven decisions by building self-serve reports and recommendations.
- Deliver actionable insights across MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExperts and QuidCo brands.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure your work is communicated across the business.
- Present findings and recommendations tailored to the relevant audience.
- Troubleshoot and optimise existing data sources.
- Work together with Data Engineers to productionise valuable output from your projects to commonly used data tables.
- Support and be supported by other data analysts, data scientists and data engineers through knowledge sharing and upskilling.
SKILLS REQUIRED;
- Previous professional experience in Data Analytics.
- Experience with BI reporting tools such as Tableau or powerBI.
- Experience with app analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- A good working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with code development tools such as GitHub and DBT.
- Experience in managing stakeholder work requests.
- Comfortable manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources and formats.
- Be detail oriented and adept in resolving bugs in SQL code and data cross checks.
- Adept at data visualisation.
- Be able to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to senior management.

Interview process
There will be an initial screening call with a member of the Talent Acquisition team to run through the role and your experience. This should be around 15 minutes long. There will be two interview stages to follow which consist of;
60 minute Teams interview which includes an intro to the role, a basic SQL test and a small case study. 30 mins interview, which will cover both competency and behavioural questions.
