You will support growth by partnering with the assigned brand/ category/ area of business and turning consumer and shopper insights into strategies and actions.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Effectively deploy brand / category / area insights in the context of global frameworks. Ensure relevancy and integration.
  • Leverage globally implemented U&A and market structure tools to look through for regional and local consumer, shopper, market and snacking insights. Ensure that global and regional best practices are shared.
  • Be a partner to Brand Marketing in the shaping of the Annual Contract across the different areas.
  • Generate behavior changing insight and identify effective levers of growth on the category / brand/ area portfolio, including innovation and equity.
  • Liaise with Shopper Insights and other parts of the Insights team to learn and leverage broad shopping and consumer knowledge.
  • Leverage Brand Guidance System (Brand Tracking).

The role of Insights & Analytics is to drive growth and business results by embedding consumer centric strategies and actions into the organisation, said in other words, “to inspire growth by connecting with people and putting the consumer at the heart of everything we do” and IMPACT the business.

How you will contribute

Generating behaviour changing insight & identifying effective levers of engagement across chocolate INNOVATION & EQUITY in Europe: Build insights which guide business decision making regarding the following areas (might be involved in these areas or only some of them- this will be determined by workload):

  • Masters category, analysis, trends, demand needs, tracking, panel data knowledge etc to translate them into impactful insights across innovation & equity platforms.
  • Manage & influence ad hoc research projects from bringing clarity to research briefs, set up, running the project and delivering results to the business with actionable insights to drive business growth based on consumer & shopper understanding.
  • Organic Brand growth: Core growth opportunities, brand maintenance (product, packaging, assortment, pricing), communication development and identifying white spaces
  • Innovation: Role of Innovation in brand/category growth, innovation platform development research, product and pack design guidance
  • Communicate in a compelling & clear way to drive action. Base recommendations on insights from multiple sources of data and knowledge.
  • Lead the learning plan creation in conjunction with stakeholders

  • An ability to build relationships with stakeholders which creates an environment to influence, to help them create the pause before jumping to solutions and ultimately where you guide them in making the consumer centric decisions.
  • An ability to ask great questions to unlock the right research brief and create momentum in the project/business challenge.
  • Experience working directly with Marketing teams and designing, executing, and analyzing primary & secondary data sources
  • Demonstrated experience using design thinking/Agile methodologies principles to identify and surface innovative business opportunities
  • Strong leadership and influencing profile based on strong relationships with stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Language Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years in brand/category insights & analytics leadership roles
  • Prior experience working on equity and or innovation preferred
  • Direct experience working across multiple cultures
  • Experience in leveraging different types of data (e.g. custom qualitative & quantitative, syndicated quantitative data, Nielsen scan data, social data, big data etc) and cutting-edge tools & capabilities to unlock powerful insights and successfully deploy them in the organization
  • Innovative mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo
  • Strategic, decisive, and proactive leader and project manager; highly collaborative team player
  • Strong bias for action, able to drive strategic outcomes through influence, collaboration & organizational savviness
  • Persuasive and effective communicator, obsessed with telling clear, compelling stories that influence stakeholders & drive action.
  • Business acumen
  • Passion for consumers, brands and research
  • Familiar with major ad-hoc techniques: Product Testing, Brand positioning, Communications development, Packaging research, NPD, online communities, quantitative and qualitative tools.
  • Strong English speaking and writing.
