The Strategic Account Technology Strategist (SATS), plays a key role in inspiring and ideating with customers the possibilities technology provides to them, drives thought leadership in digital transformation and builds strategic partnerships with C- level technology and innovation executives.

The SATS is the leader responsible for designing the strategy and technology solution roadmap to drive the AI transformation and innovation agenda of our enterprise customers. With deep industry knowledge, broad technology skills and unparalleled business acumen the SATS connects industry and business priorities to technology strategy and develops value propositions which align with our customer’s business strategies, leveraging the rich portfolio of Microsoft and its partner ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Digital Transformation & Innovation Strategy: Understand customer's industry and business goals, Microsoft solution areas and partner solutions to build a '3 Horizon' roadmap to enable customer’s digital transformation and innovation agenda. Expand Microsoft relationships with customers into strategic partnerships.

Technology Thought Leadership: Reimagine the role of technology as a business and innovation partner to deliver the business goals of our customers, help them understand the impact of emerging and strategic technologies and inspire & influence them for Microsoft technologies to become the enabling solution to drive their business innovation.

Industry & Business Solutions: Create a joint strategy with the customer to link business, technology, and industry needs to deliver their business and transformation strategy.

Technology Sales Leadership: Lead technology sales activities to drive the digital transformation vision and roadmap of our customers with Microsoft technologies. Plan and orchestrate the solution proposal and coordinate technology sales teams to provide the right solution to the customer.

Account Leadership and Relationship Management: A change Agent internally and externally to inspire and ideate about possibilities new technologies provide to drive business and technical strategy and priorities of our customers. Own and strengthen the relationships with C-level technology and innovation Executives in business units, and support through the lifecycle of change to ensure maximum value delivered to our customers.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A background in consulting or consultative technology sales
  • A broad technology knowledge including but not limited to data and AI, ERP, CRM, security. Knowledge of both Microsoft and competitor products would be attractive.
  • Ideally a deep knowledge of the fast moving consumer goods industry
  • Experience of presenting to the C Suite in a large FTSE multinational company.

Candidates should be aware that the role requires a significant amount of both long and short haul travel.
