Job Description

The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and Microsoft Partnership will empower the future of financial markets by delivering next generation data, analytics and workflow solutions that transform how organisations connect, research, analyze, collaborate, and transact across the entire financial markets value chain. As the LSEG Azure Infrastructure Specialist you will play a leading role in shaping the next phase of LSEG’s Azure journey and the Capital Markets industry transformation.


You will be a trusted advisor to LSEG across core Azure capabilities, nurturing relationships with senior LSEG stakeholders in support of their strategic direction, business and technology requirements; and of Microsoft's objectives. You will partner closely to identify where Azure solutions can drive value, identifying and developing solution sales cycles from project to production as a result. And you will translate industry insights into relevant sales opportunities, to build compelling business cases, and to demonstrate the solution value to win the technical decision.


You will be a solution sales leader in the Microsoft business, leading a cross organisational v-team of technical, partner, and consulting resources to deliver client value - executing the sales cycle to achieve Azure targets.

Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Own leadership role with executive customer stakeholders with a depth understanding of their organisation, challenges and priorities
  • Act as trusted advisor to customer with ability to influence and shape their strategic direction and roadmap
  • Translate industry insights and market intelligence into customer relevant Azure solution sales opportunities
  • Construct proactive sales campaigns to break into new business areas, identifying new projects and securing Azure as platform of choice
  • Run competitive win back pursuits to secure Azure as primary cloud
  • Display a cloud consumption mindset, delivering long term customer value

Sales Execution

  • Strong management of Azure pipeline with diligent forecasting accuracy
  • Exceed quarterly revenue and consumption targets with clear plan to attainment
  • Own depth Azure account plan in alignment with extended v-team, detailing mapped plan to growth ambition
  • Orchestrate Microsoft programmes, investment and resources to create and accelerate projects

Scaling and Collaboration

  • Be key contributor to the LSEG AOU team, closely collaborating with the extended operating unit
  • Orchestrate the extended Azure v-team around the defined Azure plan and desired customer outcomes
  • Orchestrate deal teams for complex, high value sales cycles across solution, AOU, industry, legal, licensing, consulting, partner (+ other)
  • Engage meaningfully in co-selling with Microsoft's partner ecosystem, positioning partner solutions that meet customer needs and driving successful projects
  • Be a leader in the Microsoft Azure business with feedback into GTM strategy and Engineering on blockers and future roadmap requirements
  • Have an active role in the Microsoft Azure and Financial Services communities, sharing best practice, knowledge and learnings

Technical Expertise

  • Be a subject matter expert in Microsoft Azure Cloud platform with emphasis on Azure Infrastructure solutions, holding Azure Certifications
  • Lead strategic cloud pursuits of significant scale and complexity, constructing business cases and proactive proposals to win technical decision
  • Leverage cloud economic skills with ROI, TCO and Pricing Calculator tools to construct and win deals
  • Use strong competitive landscape knowledge in cloud and enterprise software to displace competition, securing Azure platform as primary cloud
  • Lead technical solution discussions and demonstrations, leveraging industry frameworks and methodologies, plus Microsoft programmes and resources
  • Have an always-on learning mindset and continuous curiosity
