Job Description

Our team sits at the heart of Microsoft’s AI & High Performance Computing (HPC) business – shaping and delivering the next generation of supercomputing. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Social Value Manager to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to understand and manage the contract commitments related to social value delivery and ensure accurate and timely reporting on an annual basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social value initiatives, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. As Social Value Manager, you will help develop, operate, and maintain services supporting the evolving needs of one of our largest and most significant customers. As a Social Value Manager you will also be orchestrating processes and managing cross-funtional stakeholders to ensure a complex program of works remain complain and accurate.


This role will allow you to develop your commercial and operational delivery skills through a strong program delivery disciple. You will have the opportunity to impact both Microsoft’s strategy and the world-wide mission of one of the largest and most forward-leaning customers. Responsibilities

  • Independently develops innovative plans and processes to efficiently execute customer solutions and projects, scaling for multiple/complex customers as possible.
  • Understand Contract Commitments: Thoroughly review and comprehend the social value commitments outlined in contracts. Ensure all obligations are clearly understood and communicated to relevant teams. And ensuring all social value activities comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Social Value Delivery: Oversee the implementation of social value initiatives as per contract requirements. Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery, and reporting on the delivery against program targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary data and insights for social value reporting. Build strong relationships to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data related to social value initiatives to measure impact and identify trends. Use insights to inform future strategies and improve social value delivery. Develop and maintain a comprehensive reporting framework to track social value outcomes. Prepare detailed reports that highlight achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing social value delivery and reporting processes. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to maximize social impact. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in social value requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in program management, digital content publishing/management,
    • OR experience in a writing
    • OR editing role
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrative experience in Social Value delivery
  • Professional presentation skills with experience of regularly presenting a variety of different audiences.
  • Customer advocacy, a deep ethos and understanding of customer needs and the methods by which to surface articulated and unarticulated needs.
