Job Description

The Consumer Sales Organization (CSO) is a global team at Microsoft responsible for sales across Devices and Creativity (Windows, Microsoft 365, and Surface) and Gaming. CSO puts the consumer at the center, helping them discover, learn, and buy through our direct channel in over 120 countries around the world. We are looking for a Regional Site Merchandising Manager, for our Digital Direct Sales team to support EMEA and LATAM region.

As the Regional Site Merchandising Manager, you manage a team responsible for driving the planning and execution of online sales programs and initiatives across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and LATAM (Latin America) regions for Microsoft Store sites. You will lead the site merchandising team consisting of full-time employees and contractors, as well manage site merchandising outsourced team. You are responsible for optimizing revenue and end-to-end online site experience, implementing visual merchandising, promotions, testing & optimization, cross-selling & upselling and conversion aligned to overall product strategy and regional strategy. You will work in close partnership with EMEA site merchandisers, global, regional and local teams to optimize selling and execution of compelling marketing, storytelling, offers, updates and product launches. You will develop and share deep business and customer insights to inform Microsoft Store strategy and tactics and buying pages optimization efforts.

*This is an EMEA role and can be done from a number of locations in the region.

Responsibilities

Lead site marketing and online merchandising for Microsoft Store Sites

  • Align with Regional Digital Store Lead, Sub-regional Digital Store Leads, Regional Go-To-Market (GTM) Lead, Demand Generation partners and regional category management on business goals and key priorities.
  • Define the on-site marketing strategy and priorities and illuminates the Store’s business priorities, customer value proposition, simplifies customer journeys & enhances product storytelling. Create a comprehensive plan for visual merchandising for all products sold online.
  • Manage a site merchandising team consisting of full-time employees and vendors, leading the efforts and priorities to business targets and site key performance indicators. You are also responsible for an EMEA based outsourced site merchandising team executing site merchandising operations based on key deliverables and KPIs.
  • Drive growth against key web performance metrics and indicators, such as conversion rates, average order value, attach, etc. to meet unit, revenue & contribution margin targets and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Contribute experimentation and personalization strategies, capability development and successful implementation together with EMEA and global stakeholders.
  • Build strong cross-functional engagement & priority alignment with the Regional Production Operations team. Find and implement process improvement opportunities to increase efficiencies with campaigns, promotions, product launches & lifecycle management and sales optimization activities.
  • Provide input to online marketing to ensure Store campaigns, offers, product roadmap, etc. are consistent across marketing channels and online.
  • Partner with local and corporate category teams and marketing teams to drive online marketing roadmap and develop deep business & customer insights.
  • Provide insights and input global features, capability and platform improvements partnering with rest of Site Merchandising team, Planning and Engineering. Drive operational, tool and process improvements with key stakeholders, incl. Production Operations and Operations Program Management.

Drive with analytics, deliver insights and upside.

  • Use a data-driven approach to merchandising for driving sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive EMEA/LATAM Site Merchandising RoB reporting (WBRs, MBRs, Newsletter).
  • Build a culture and practice of testing and optimization to drive gains in performance.
  • Use data, insights, and Voice of Customer (VoC) feedback to improve product value proposition messaging and discoverability.
  • Deliver market insights to Microsoft Store stakeholders and leadership to help inform global online strategies.
  • Share best practices and key learning with Worldwide Site Merchandising peers and business partners.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in ecommerce related role
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • A deep understanding of digital & ecommerce marketing and sales in a ecommerce site merchandising role(s), both current and emerging strategies and tactics, with the ability to translate them into successful program execution.
  • Quantitative/analytical skills with experience working on web analytics, sales data, and analysis, turning analytics into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with executive leaders.
  • Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders in market and corporate teams to secure support for ecommerce initiatives, promotions, and marketing plans.
  • Deep expertise in driving strategies, distilling insights, and establishing best practices from merchandising testing and optimization.
  • Very strong organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines and sets of priorities.
