A Services Contract Manager is responsible for shaping deals in a way that balances business needs, business opportunity and risks with a goal to meet both Microsoft and customer strategic objectives. The Services Contract Manager works to drive business adherence to Services guidelines and policies with regard to Services Agreements. This role supports the Enterprise Services organization by owning the review, negotiation and approval of non-standard contract terms and non-standard contract documents. The purpose of the Services Contracts Manager role is to drive a healthy business for internal and external customers, to support transactional excellence, and to make sure that Microsoft assets are protected.

Responsibilities

You can be successful in this role if you possess sound business judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, capability to build relationships cross-functionally, are detail oriented, and demonstrate flexibility to navigate ambiguity in a collaborative environment. It’s critical to know how to prioritize for high impact and drive multiple initiatives to conclusion in a timely manner; proactively seek knowledge and embrace technology and be self-motivated and dedicated to assisting others learn and be successful. Another bonus is to possess a good sense of humor with the ability to adapt to a dynamic and exciting environment!

  • Make decisions on customer agreements marrying creativity and business judgment
  • Negotiate services contract terms and conditions to close deals.
  • Drive business adherence to Services guidelines and policies with regard to Services Agreements. Own the review, negotiation and approval of non-standard contract terms and non-standard contract documents.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, finance, and other business groups to design winning offers and deal constructs.
  • Ensure negotiation strategies for services adhere to established principles and standards and help adapt those principles to the evolving technology marketplace.
  • Share best practices and coach sales teams to improve Microsoft’s deal-making capabilities and accelerate deal timeliness.
  • Fluency in English, French language preferred

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or similar with a extensive business experience in software licensing, services and sales
  • Demonstrated decision making, and problem solving in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, oral and written communication skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Proven complex negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to workflows and deadlines.
  • Software/Cloud services industry, consulting, and support experience preferred.
  • Risk takers, growth mind-set, independent learner
