As a Director for our Telco/Media Strategic customer, you will be an accomplished and senior sales director, you will be excited by the prospect of using your customer, sales and deal making experience to influence one of Microsoft’s most important strategic accounts. Comfortable with the accountability of managing a team who play a key advisory role in these top tier accounts, you will enjoy the opportunity you have to have a significant impact on the business as they transform the way they work in this digital age.

Responsibilities

Managing and developing a team of senior strategic sales professionals as they seek to have an impact on one of our largest global accounts will be the core aspect of your role. Your people management skills will be essential as the stakeholder group will include board level members both within Microsoft (MS) and the customer.

Other key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Engaging executives and resources in Microsoft and our partners to make complicated deals happen by guiding and influencing our teams and virtual organisations.
  • Influence area leaders to drive Digital Transformation in their teams and support them and their organisations to make their largest deals happen.
  • Optimisation of sales engagements focused on business growth and achievement of revenue/scorecard goals with demonstrated global impact.
  • Experience of managing large direct teams and developing inclusive cultures that attract top talent coupled with a track record of exceptional sales performance.
  • Providing feedback and learning to the corporate teams based on you and your team’s engagements to help improve our delivery and relationships.
  • Worldwide revenue amount strategic accounts in your region and your team’s ‘close rate’ in strategic deals.

Qualifications

To set you up for success, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Significant experience in sales management, business development and/or enterprise level business consulting, ideally working in the software industry.
  • Extensive experience working in complex, cross-functional and matrix organisations.
  • A background of coaching sales teams and leading through influence.
  • Practical knowledge of Enterprise sales processes and collaborating with teams across a global organisation
  • Experience of working with product groups and other corporate teams to drive Digital Transformation deals.

There will be 50% travel across EMEA and at times to the US.
