Job Description

Are you passionate about how technology can transform healthcare? Can you inspire a high performing team to help accelerate growth in the business and make a lasting societal impact?

We are looking for a senior leader to lead a sales team in our healthcare and life sciences business, working with the NHS and many other customers, with a focus on Scotland, Wales and the English arm’s length bodies.

The role technology can play in improving healthcare was dramatically highlighted during the COVI9-19 pandemic. Healthcare and other public services are now facing a new set of challenges – cuts to funding, long waiting lists and a workforce under pressure. At the same time, AI and other technologies are opening up entirely new approaches to healthcare delivery that can improve outcomes, enhance efficiency and give hard pressed workers “time back to care”.

We are looking for a leader with a passion for healthcare, strong commercial acumen and the collaborative people leadership skills to help our customers transform healthcare in the UK, resulting in positive commercial outcomes and customer satisfaction.

As a company, Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. A career in the public sector team at Microsoft will give you the opportunity to join a talented and dedicated team in pursuit of ambitious goals. You’ll be given the reach, freedom and inspiration to make a difference and have a lasting impact on the world. You’ll have access to talented people, technology and tools that enable you to utilize your skills, drive and, most importantly, your imagination.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and lead a sales team to delight customers, change the world and hit commercial target
  • Attract, retain, and develop talent to enable the team and business to grow
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in the team and in all aspects of life at Microsoft
  • Engage with our customers to inspire them on a journey of digital transformation, migration to the cloud and realise the potential of AI
  • Operate as a thought leader and influencer in the healthcare and life sciences sector, elevating Microsoft’s reputation and impact
  • Build engagement with our rich partner ecosystem to help realise the best outcomes for our customers.
  • Work with the UK leadership team to shape the Microsoft UK health strategy and business plan

Qualifications

  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead teams with a high degree of independence and success
  • A strong commercial and sales track record in a technology environment
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the NHS, healthcare, technology and life sciences industries
  • Deep understanding of the Microsoft product offering and the opportunities this presents to transform healthcare
  • Strategic thinking skills and the ability to convert this into a practical execution plan
  • Exceptional collaboration skills – with the ability to orchestrate across a complex environment
  • Exceptional relationship and influencing skills – comfortable in C-suite and political environments
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
