Job Description

Joining Microsoft as the National Security Officer, you'll help businesses and government achieve their AI transformation goals. You'll use your experience in the public sector and other priority industries to open new markets and build trust for Microsoft's cloud and AI platform. You'll focus on the biggest challenges and barriers to adoption of cloud, AI and other emerging technologies, within both government and highly regulated industries. You'll collaborate with engineering, marketing, field teams, and customers to remove or mitigate those barriers.

This role is flexible in that you can work from home [up to 50%], but with a strong external engagement and a frequent Microsoft onsite required component.

Responsibilities

  • Support the country’s security agencies to build the capabilities to be at national level cyber-safety and resiliency, prepare against next generation attacks and effectively mitigate current threats.
  • In partnership with Corporate, External & Legal Affairs, and engineering teams, expand Microsoft's markets by using Microsoft's products to address compliancy, security, privacy and sovereignty requirements in Public Sector, Critical Infrastructure and regulated industries
  • Build and develop effective internal and external platforms to increase the skills to defend against current and next-generation AI cybersecurity threats that countries, governments, regulators, and customers are facing and establish a program which enables Microsoft locally, in partnership with relevant agencies, to effectively respond to national scale security incidents.
  • Develop and drive the vision and execution of the Microsoft Security strategy and the end-to-end story for the country, in close alignment with the Enterprise Commercial and Public Sector leadership teams and other key collaborators. This includes aligning the overall cybersecurity strategy to the specific requirements of the area/country.
  • Be a visible external spokesperson capable of delivering a clear message about Microsoft's security vision and capabilities at Microsoft Events, Executive Briefing Center engagements, field visits with key accounts, partner events, and other major industry events worldwide.
  • Drive Trusted Technology priorities to unblock and expand addressable markets for Microsoft technologies, including key cybersecurity scenarios that create competitive differentiation for adoption of cloud and emerging technologies.
  • Lead the area's security community to ensure proper messaging and execution of our security strategy and vision. Enable field readiness for security discussions.

Work with key stakeholders in engineering and product groups to share customer feedback/requirements and ensure that our products meet the security needs of our customers.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in working across multiple disciplines/domains (e.g., security technology, legal/privacy)*
  • Certification related to security (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional)*
  • Extensive experience in people/project management experience working with cross-functional teams.
