Financial Services Industry Advisor Manager

As the senior leader in the Industry & Partner Solutions Financial Services Group, you will leverage your deep Financial Services Industry (FSI) experience, expertise, and network to guide your team in developing growth strategies in Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance verticals in the UK, Middle-East and Africa.

Industry teams enable our sales teams and partners to deliver relevant, high-quality solutions and services to empower our customers to lead the digital transformation of the Financial Services industry. Your expertise in digital transformation opportunities within FSI enabled by emerging technologies such as AI/Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and the alike will be invaluable. You will manage a team of leaders and industry advisors tasked with enhancing client awareness of Microsoft’s industry solutions especially with business decision makers (C-level) and repositions market perception of Microsoft as a trusted partner for industry solutions. You will work in close partnership with all FSI stakeholders including peers in the FSI Industry team, Field Sales and regional execution teams in the UK/M-E/Africa, Global Partner Solutions (GPS), Strategic Pursuit Team (SPT) and Business Development to identify, activate, drive and create new opportunities to amplify our impact in the market.

The Financial Services Industry Advisor Manager is responsible for:

• Achieving targeted annual growth for Financial Services across Strategic and Mainstream Enterprise segments for the UK/M-E/Africa region

  • Driving scale for industry sales plays by educating and landing industry strategy scenarios, solutions and sales plays with regional industry sales community and regional field leaders
  • Providing thought leadership via focus on broad global industry trends - activate and evangelize industry strategy and GTM into assigned accounts.
  • Acting as focal point for Financial Services industry for Microsoft in the UK/M-E/Africa region, representing the company’s Financial Services viewpoint at key regional Industry events, and executive sponsorship of key strategic accounts
  • Coaching for UK/M-E/Africa regional opportunities; Triage, approve and escalate top deals
  • Nurturing relationships with top industry partner in region to drive success in co-selling solutions

  • You are an inspirational Sales team leader and coach, and you are recognized as a people leader who will build People and Systems Capabilities for the Industry and the UK/M-E/Africa Region
  • You have a strong track record in the Financial Services Industry expertise based on significant Industry experience, combined to great knowledge, and connection, in the UK/M-E/Africa market
  • Your drive Business Performance with ability to Influence for Impact and a strong cross-group and cross-countries Collaboration mindset
  • You have proven experience supporting industry discussions with senior client leadership (C-level)
  • You lead enterprise revenue growth by driving industry solution plays within regional communities
  • You are skilled at prioritization, creating order and marshalling resources towards achieving a common goal
  • You have confidence under pressure especially within tight timelines
  • You are a tireless advocate for the Financial Services industry
  • You are experienced in solution selling methodology
  • You have a growth mindset
