Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a high-performing team leading one of the fastest-growing, most important & strategic segments within the Microsoft Azure business? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can lead the go-to-market strategy for Azure with our Mid-Market (SMC-C) and Small Business (SMB) teams, delivering customer & partner success aligned to strategic priorities. You will develop marketing programs focused on migration, modernization and innovation across our all of our cloud solution areas, partners and ecosystems to deliver integrated strategies that act as key growth drivers for the Azure business. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of factors which drive UK businesses, a solid technical grounding in Microsoft Azure as well as a deep understanding of strategic marketing planning to develop year-over-year growth and understand key industry solution plays, competitive landscape and create differentiation strategies that will be executed at scale within the UK.

The UK Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy to a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. Our team drives cross-Region, cross-Area and cross-Subsidiary insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by accelerating the pace of transformation and enabling Microsoft to deliver business impact at scale. This opportunity within the Azure Business Group segment of this team and covers all of the 3 Azure Solution Areas. The team is made up of smart and professional people who are highly motivated to drive Microsoft’s business forward as well as being highly connected and always ready to have fun!

Responsibilities

You will be the key representative of Azure within the UK Azure business. Key responsibilities you will own include:

  • Own & Land Azure Microsoft Azure Propositions (40%)
  • Partner with SMC Managed/SMB teams to drive GTM for aligned Azure Solution Plays, identifying growth opportunities in the market.
  • Partner across the business to execute activity that promotes Azure as the platform of choice for customers to drive revenue growth
  • Collaborate with the Partner organization (GPS) on local marketing and demand generation strategies that support solution play performance.
  • Maintain a solid technical understanding of the Azure platform and be able to articulate messaging and value propositions.
  • Strategic planning (30%)
  • Build and own the UK SMC and SMB plans, partnering with fellow leaders (local, EMEA and corporate) to create a coherent business plan including events, digital-first campaigns, partner engagement and targeted customer and account marketing.
  • Develop competitive strategies to drive target market share gains. Respond to new market, product and strategy dynamics
  • Conduct reviews across the business to drive aligned execution with business, partner and technical resources.
  • Business Orchestration (30%)
    • Identify and orchestrate strategic market-making plays. You will own local business management strategy, partnering with fellow leaders to interpret market opportunity and risk.
    • Advocate as the voice of the Customer, Partners and Field to provide thought leadership on competitive landscape, solution area gaps, sales trends, etc. to drive improvements on the GTM plan.
    • Determine key insights and drive recommendations with UK leadership teams to accelerate on Azure growth in SMC and SMB accounts
    • Capture, analyse & report on insights to drive informed feedback into corporate marketing to improve global execution plans and outcomes
    • Drive standardized rhythms and tools that drive increased customer and partner facing time for sellers​.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND/OR relevant GTM/Product marketing experience
  • Experience taking to market products in new technology categories
  • Love for technology and a deep understanding of how productivity solutions can solve organisational challenges
  • A good balance between analytical thinking to drive data-led insights and creativity to solve business challenges
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both influencing peers to drive projects forward and senior leadership engagements

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • A passion for technology and a background working in the cloud computing space
  • An ambition to become a subject matter expert in and evangelise the Azure platform
  • Deep customer focus and understanding
  • Strong analytical skills & an excellent communicator
  • Track record of strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree in either Marketing/Business or Computer Science preferred
  • Fluency in English
