Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. We are responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Within CO+I, the Global Supply Chain Planning team is tasked with demand and supply planning to establish supply readiness in support of a large, growing portfolio of CO+I projects. This team is responsible for setting a strategic framework and governance for the early identification of risk and integration of information to understand demand over time, evaluate the supply base and identify risks and opportunities, and engage with other CO+I teams to streamline processes leading to accelerated and more efficient delivery of Cloud capacity. This team supports a global portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-billion-dollar, multi-year datacenter construction projects across all Microsoft regions.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Continuous Improvement
Identifies margin increasing or efficiency improvements to the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) process and advises senior leadership about implementation. Seeks to improve efficiency of the IBP, matching supply and demand, and to incorporate customer needs into the IBP.
Integrated Business Plan (IBP) Business Rhythm
Creates alignment with functional stakeholders related to a particular product or service including Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, and New Product Introductions (NPI) to create alignment in the overall Integrated Business Plan (IBP) and Financial plans. Coordinates with each group individually and synthesizes their needs considering a variety of demands and constraints to drive action efforts across teams that align with business objectives. Ensures a clear linkage on alignment between the strategic objectives of a business and the operational plan of record. May contribute to the long-range, integrated operating product or service plan.
Contributes to Executive Integrated Business Plan (IBP) monthly rhythm of business (RoB) meetings for General Managers and Corporate Vice Presidents and representatives of related groups (e.g., Finance, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) in collaboration with senior leadership. Prepares analyses and reports to be considered during planning alignment. Aids in follow up actions as directed by senior leadership.
Facilitates Global Integrated Business Plan (IBP) weekly rhythm of business (RoB) meetings for director-level of all related groups (e.g., Finance, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) of a product or service to present relevant analyses, inform stakeholders, and facilitate group needs to other members. Addresses any requests from stakeholders, issues, or escalations that arise during alignment process of each group. Finalizes IBP adjustments as agreed by all internal stakeholders. Follows up on action items, conducts additional analyses, and schedules additional meetings as necessary.
Synthesizing Information
Draws on analyses, reports, and process knowledge to create synthesized set of plans related to operations. Shares information with relevant stakeholders and follows up in conjunction with the Integrated Business Plan (IBP). Facilitates discussion around the phase in/phase out process of a product or service by orchestrating ramp up/down procedures. Leverages supply and demand analyses to facilitate addressing fulfillment gaps with appropriate stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or related field AND experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management with a Supply Chain or Operations field OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Datacenter Development industry (construction, fitout, operations)
- Experience with Supplier Management
- Experience with Inventory Management
- Power Platform (e.g. Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, etc.)
