Job Description

The Consumer Sales Organization (CSO) is a global team at Microsoft responsible for sales across Devices and Creativity (Windows, Microsoft 365, and Surface) and Gaming. CSO puts the consumer at the center, helping them discover, learn, and buy through our direct channel in over 120 countries around the world. We are looking for an eCommerce Site Merchandiser, Campaigns and Value Proposition, for our Digital Direct Sales team to support EMEA region.

Responsibilities

As the eCommerce Site Merchandiser, EMEA Campaigns and Value Proposition, you will optimize the customer experience, create and execute online merchandising strategies, and drive revenue for the web campaigns and promotions including the very important Deals page. You will also plan and implement optimized Value Proposition strategies for the EMEA Online Stores according to regional and global strategies and priorities. You will use personalization and experimentation tactics as well as data, analytics and customer insights to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of web campaign strategy. You will work closely with various teams, such as EMEA Site Merchandising, Regional Digital Sales, Integrated Marketing, Store Studio, Production Operations, and Category Managers, to ensure a cohesive and effective customer experience and support business priorities and targets.

You will also be responsible for supporting SEO planning and implementation for EMEA, in close collaboration with a global SEO team, as well as the EMEA region level SEO virtual team. You will execute the changes in close collaboration with the EMEA site merchandising lead, category site merchandisers and outsourced site merchandising team.

You will also support M365, and Copilot launches and updates for EMEA site merchandising and drive testing plan from EMEA markets point of view, according to global strategy, and in close collaboration with global partners.

We are looking for an action oriented, out-of-the-box thinker who is comfortable using data and turning it into actionable insights and identify optimization opportunities. Successful candidates will be able to articulate what drives the business and be able to analyze traffic and web funnel patterns, go deep into conversion metrics and identify areas where the customer journey should be improved and how it can impact revenue. The successful Site Merchandiser will combine a detail-oriented approach to tasks with an interest in understanding what drives customers to buy and a bias toward action.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of online campaign, promotions, Deals page and Value Proposition merchandising strategies, with the goal of optimizing the customer experience to increase sales, improve conversion rates, and decrease bounce rates for EMEA. Close collaboration with key partners like the WW Site Merch Campaign Lead, regional EMEA team, Site Merchandising teammates from around the world, and key global stakeholders.
  • Creation, curation, and optimization of customer journeys to maximize learning and buying for our customers.
  • Ability to story tell customers via product and merchandising messaging and assets, while remaining true to the Microsoft brand. This includes partnering with other teams to create seamless journeys across partner sites, email, social, etc, schedules etc.
  • Collaboration with Store Studio and other regions to develop visual mock-ups of campaign plans and ensure alignment with campaign imagery, messaging, and timing.
  • Strong project management over a variety of tasks with varying deadlines and priorities. Includes sharing the plans to relevant stakeholders. Knows how to manage time and get things done in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Works with Production Operations to determine the launch mode and schedule for each campaign and communicate it to Site Merchandising and other partner teams.
  • Manages EMEA site merchandising post-mortems and best practice consolidation and sharing.
  • Collaboration with Site Merchandising Features PM and UX design/Studio teams in building requirements to enable improved customer experiences. This includes the new features needed in templates, navigational elements, wayfinding, etc.
  • Orchestrate SEO actions for EMEA in collaboration with global SEO team and EMEA SEO vteam. Optimize key campaign pages and drive organic traffic.
  • Oversee and manage the implementation of M365 and Copilot product launches and updates specifically for EMEA site merchandising. Ensure timely and effective execution in alignment with global strategies.
  • Fluent user of Adobe Analytics reporting and analyzing web data and findings. Able to produce meaningful actionable insights and use them to create optimizations for campaigns and web customer experience.
  • Knows how to build and run statistically significant experiments to derive validated answers. Is comfortable working with and diving into data to find insights.
  • Uses personalization and targeting schemas and tools to create customer experiences tailored to our customers and their needs.
  • Prepares and presents weekly and monthly reporting of their area, including analysis of customer behaviors and opportunities for improvement. Analyze and prepare ad hoc reporting for campaigns, launches and optimizations.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in eCommerce site merchandising, including customer journey optimization and management of web campaigns. Experience in digital marketing is a benefit.
      • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field AND 3+ years experience in eCommerce site merchandising, including customer journey optimization and management of web campaigns. Experience in digital marketing is a benefit.
      • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field AND 2+ year(s) experience in eCommerce site merchandising, including customer journey optimization and management of web campaigns. Experience in digital marketing is a benefit.
  • Work experience in planning, executing, measuring and optimizing consumer ecommerce site merchandising, with an ability to create optimal customer experiences to drive revenue.
  • Experience in Site Usability, A/B Testing, Personalization and Optimization.
  • Strong project management of complex projects with attention to detail, with ability to execute flawlessly.
  • Ability to work across a variety of tasks under pressure. Knows how to manage time, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with Adobe Analytics, ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions and turn it into storytelling and actionable insights.
  • Passionate about the customer experience, with a strong interest in understanding and impacting customer behavior.
