Join our Modern Work Team as a Cloud Endpoint Technical Specialist and help our enterprise customers modernise their endpoints and embrace a Zero Trust security model. As a pre-sales technical specialist your primary goal is to establish confidence and win our customers’ trust to use M365 Solutions which comprise of Windows endpoints (physical or virtual with Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktops) managed by Modern IT using Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure AD, and through ‘as-a-service’ model technologies. You will partner closely with the field sales solution specialists to understand our customers’ business challenges, determine the necessary technology strategy and remove technical blockers enabling digital transformation. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Scale Customer Engagements: You will reach out to customers proactively and independently using knowledge of customer context; expertise in Microsoft products and product differentiators in assigned Solutions Plays (including Windows 11, Windows 365, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktop, Surface and managed service solutions such as Autopatch, Microsoft Managed Desktop, etc), along with other technical and industry knowledge. Leading technical discussions with customers and establishing rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams including partners and CSU, leveraging knowledge of processes (e.g., Managed Service Provider [MSP], Managed Certified Professional [MCP]), tools, and programs (e.g., FastTrack, customer investment funding [ECIFs]) and leveraging foundational knowledge of resources (e.g., roles, Microsoft Technology Center, demo sites, virtual sites).
  • Build Strategy: You will provide strategic, technical, and partner input based on Microsoft capability at the account level, leveraging knowledge of partners, open-source solutions, and competitors. You will take knowledge of customer feedback, and their context in a competitive landscape and delivering core competitive knowledge back to engineering teams to enhance Windows 11, Windows 365, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktop, Surface and managed service solutions such as Autopatch, to develop compete strategies.
  • Solution Design and Proof of Concept: You will demonstrate (e.g., Architectural Design Sessions, and Proof of Concept sessions) presenting and applying architecture patterns for design, development, configuration, and deployment/adoption/governance planning; applying sales methodologies (e.g., MCEM); leveraging partner/customer teams as needed.
  • Change Management and Adoption: Cloud Endpoint TS needs to drive adoption and change management by developing a clear strategy and execution plan e.g., readiness assessments, value realisation and optimisation.
  • Capability in conducting pilots to confirm the Endpoint strategy and value proposition, preparing the environment for deployment, and defining enterprise deployment programs.
  • Collaborator and orchestrator: You will work in a v-team and drive technical solutions to drive the success of customers and Microsoft.
  • Education: You will proactively identify learning gaps; monitoring & responding to internal tech community posts, attending community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc. Practicing expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture and demonstrating new and updated Endpoint related products and services.
  • Leverage Partner Ecosystem: You will act as the liaison between the partner and team and facilitating partner resources and processes. Identifying Cloud Endpoint skill and resource gaps and providing feedback to internal teams.

Qualifications

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • Technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent qualification) combined with technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • Advising Client Technical Decisions - Eg: Consultative Selling, Strategic Technical Planning, Technical Sales

  • Building Stakeholder Relationships - Eg: Relationship Management, Trusted Technical Advisor

  • Demonstrating Microsoft Solution Capabilities - Eg: Cloud Platform, Cloud Security, Pilots and Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
