Client Partner Lead (Internal: Account Executive)

Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers the largest advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through digital advertising solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platform. We are seeking top performing Account Executives with digital advertising experience who can drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction by developing and cultivating strategic client relationships and delivering customized solutions aligning to the client’s advertising needs.

The Client Partner Lead (CPL) in Microsoft Advertising enables Microsoft to better serve strategic customers by applying customer obsession to what clients care about and need, ensuring our Microsoft Advertising story is valued and understood, and acting to build successful, long-term relationships. The CPL develops and maintains strong customer relationships anchored on connections with C-level executives and Business and Technical Decision Makers in customers’ organizations. The CPL develops quality customer plans laying out revenue and customer satisfaction growth strategies. Success is measured by specific success indicators focused on driving adoption, emphasizing customer experience, and optimizing opportunities. The CPL performs their role with execution excellence to drive client success and business results. The CPL drives both revenue and customer satisfaction. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% away from the office.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Planner

Develops, leads, and executes MSA sales strategy & priorities to enable client growth of existing and new products. Purposefully positions outcomes within the context of the client’s digital marketing journey from current to future state.

Relationship Builder

Influences CMO and Chief Digital Marketing Stakeholders through Relationship Building: Acts as a compelling storyteller, leads with emotional intelligence, communicates with confidence and by effectively listening to identify clients’ end to end needs.

Sales Leader

Leads Sales planning with the Account v-team. Plan includes achieving sales targets and increasing existing budgets while also opening new share of wallet opportunities with MSAN and other incubations products. Ensures shared accountability for sales targets with the v-team. Works in partnership with v-team to bring the best resources to ensure deal success.

Sales Closer

Negotiation Planning: Expands the client's view of the importance of MSA products and concedes negotiables in an order that ensures both parties feel they are winning. Effectively maintains good working relationships with those involved in negotiation; persuading others without using manipulation; & maintaining a positive atmosphere during difficult objections & negotiations.


Sales Excellence

Leads update of pipeline reviewing top new opportunities, identifying roadblocks, and ensures the right resources are engaged to overcome client objections. Executes sales per expectations against pipeline, new client, and opportunity management goals per the MSA Solution Selling process for new deals, driving for client verifiable outcomes at each stage.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience as a Client Partner Lead within Digital Advertising Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on digital advertising
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Digital Advertising Sales, Marketing, or related field AND solid work experience within Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on digital advertising
  • Experience of engaging and activating C level relationships to drive business
  • Understanding and articulation of the online advertising ecosystem across multiple platforms such as Display, Video, Native and CTV buying methods
  • Understanding of media measurement and attribution modelling
  • Proven track record of exceptional performance and high productivity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Can successfully cultivate internal stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent collaboration and orchestration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals or targets
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs, create and deliver customised, customer-focused pitches and solutions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Passion and curiosity for Enterprise and AI technology as an enabler for customer and company growth
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as appropriate
