Job Description

As a Client Delivery Partner (CDP) in our Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) team you will have the opportunity to engage with, and influence, senior stakeholders within some of our largest customers to enable the the successful development and execution of transformational programs of work. Your deep, cross-industry expertise and experiences will be fundamental as you steer a programme team who are dedicated to the success of our customers. You will hone your leadership skills and operational delivery capabilities as you guide this accomplished team of professional services individuals across the programme lifecycle to transform our customers’ business and position them for commercial success within a trillion-dollar addressable market.

ISD helps customers transform the potential value of Microsoft cloud technologies into realised value for their business, employees and customers. ISD is on a multiyear transformation to increase value, relevance and partnership with our customers and partners, which is both contributing to Microsoft revenue as well as accelerating Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) growth and AI transformation. Responsibilities

The CDP is first and foremost a relationship role, establishing trusted, long-term relationships with the customer C-Suite and helping those leaders craft business strategy and execute against it. The CDP is a recognised expert in their field with a long track record of executing against the business decisions that they make. Developing and nurturing C-Suite relationships, providing those customers with industry expertise, making them successful in the marketplace, and building a durable trust for Microsoft with persistent and flawless execution rigor are the primary responsibilities of the CDP.

To drive successful execution and be accountable to the customer, the CDP is responsible for providing executive sponsorship within Microsoft. This includes direct executive oversight of the Business Development, Delivery, and Technical Solutioning capabilities engaged with the account, and building a culture focused on business outcomes and customer product realisation. Maintaining close relationships with these teams, understanding their strengths, and leveraging them for the customers behalf is critical for the CDP. The CDP will need to work across Microsoft organisational boundaries with Customer Success, Account Teams, Specialist Sales Teams, Industry Teams, Engineering and Leader Teams, and across the Microsoft Partner (GSI/ISV) delivery landscape to provide alignment with the customers long-term business success and ensure that Microsoft and its partners are delivering against a high bar of quality, performance and value for the customer.

Other responsibilities may also include:

  • Drive outcome-based client value through digital transformation, innovation and industry thought leadership.
  • Leverage industry / functional expertise and relationships to capture thought leadership within an account(s) to shape client strategy and drive business outcomes.
  • Co-create with the client, articulate transformation and drive innovation.
  • Maintaining a high profile in their industry of expertise, participating in industry events and forums, publishing, and nurturing thought leadership.
  • Aligning Microsoft and Partner resources across organisational boundaries to flawlessly execute against customer business priorities.
  • Sustainable growth of the account and development / execution of long-term strategies.
  • Build multi-year vision and account plan in alignment with customer business needs.
  • Manage long-term financials of the account, including funnel development, revenue and high impact investments.
  • Help originate deals and drive innovative deal construct and solutioning to grow business.

Qualifications

As an expert in your field with a history of developing and executing complex programs of work, you will be resourceful, confident under pressure, and able to create clarity in ambiguous situations. Your ability to inspire and lead matrixed teams in a complex environment is critical to you and our customers’ success. The ability to think broadly and problem solve across industries to transform the way our customers do business is equally important. Excellence in communications, professional services delivery, financial management, and building credibility and trust over time are required.

Here are the key skills and experiences you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive Financial Services Industry expertise with existing executive relationships and a history of influencing and shaping industry trends and C-Suite decision making.
  • Demonstrable experience having executed against transformation strategies.
  • Significant people leadership experience; inspiring and fostering a culture of customer centricity, attracting, developing, and retaining deep industry, business and technology expertise.
  • Management consulting experience, influencing client C-Suite decision making and driving business outcomes.
  • History of aligning client strategy and business objectives with your firm’s assets and capabilities.
  • a track record of owning a business area and exceeding results, establishing a strong voice to drive transformational change across organisational boundaries.
  • Experience running a disciplined customer and business review process with cross-functional teams, identifying and prioritising blockers, and problem solving across organisational boundaries.
