Job Description

In the Consumer Sales Organization (CSO), we are a global team at Microsoft responsible for sales across Devices & Creativity (Windows, Microsoft 365, and Surface) and Gaming. CSO puts the consumer at the center, helping them discover, learn, and buy through direct and partner channels in over 120 countries around the world. Our team works with ecosystem partners and internal business groups to drive digital excellence and e-commerce capability, as well as accelerate cloud and subscription adoption. Together, we win by delivering compelling at-home and on-the-go experiences combining intelligent edge devices and services that create Microsoft fans for life.

In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for the Devices and Creativity customer solution area (CSA), deeply understanding the business priorities, associated product roadmaps, target audiences and customer journey. You will be accountable to build consumer-centric go-to-market plans, establishing a marketing calendar for execution through our partners and aligned to global priorities, functional expertise and local market insights. Success is measured by execution excellence, conversion, sell-through, ROI and brand love.

You’ll work with partner marketers to influence the design of unique Microsoft experiences across channels and at every touchpoint in the customer journey, working across organizational boundaries to deliver integrated consumer marketing. You will collaborate with local category and cross-functional marketing teams to coordinate PR, social and below-the-line marketing activities to complement and extend our partner marketing campaigns.

You will act as a trusted advisor to drive strategic decisions about our marketing investment strategy and marketing mix at the product level. You’ll be deeply embedded in global Devices and Creativity communities, taking global strategy, campaigns and assets and localizing them for market and partner relevance across digital, visual merchandising and other co-marketing efforts retail partners. You will work closely with Partner Readiness & Influence Leads to maintain our in-store branded presence and connect with consumers and sellers through readiness, training, evangelism and assisted selling.

By joining the Consumer Channel & Partner Marketing team, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s focused on driving full-funnel marketing for an exciting ecosystem that continues to grow. As the owner of the Devices and Creativity consumer marketing experience, you’ll have the opportunity to share feedback around the voice of the customer, capture learnings and establish best practices, leveraging the global infrastructure for support and shared platforms.

This role is flexible, working approximately 50% from home depending on office proximity.

Responsibilities

Omnichannel Strategy

  • Establish and leverage local customer journey maps in order to design and deliver unique Microsoft product experiences across our retail and distribution partners
  • Lead a cross-functional marketing council, driving alignment, efficiency and synergy across our owned & operated, digital direct and partner channels
  • Activate ecommerce sales motions through digital marketing excellence, mobile-first executions and social commerce
  • Influence conversion in-store and online through seamless and connected experiences
  • Optimize retail presence by landing and maintaining in-store programs and experiences
  • Build brand advocates among retail sellers and consumers through training, evangelism and community engagement platforms

Consumer and Partner Marketing Execution

  • Localize global strategy, campaigns and assets to territories and retail partners, driving adoption and usage of global programs, platforms and playbooks
  • Build a Devices and Creativity marketing calendar that represents key product campaigns, seasonal beats and launches across markets and partners
  • Align and coordinate marketing plans across marketing disciplines and functions, working closely with Partner Marketers, Partner Readiness & Influence, Global Media, Integrated Marketing, PR and Product Marketing
  • Drive and activate a distribution strategy and playbook
  • Land best-in-class product launches, key seasonal initiatives and sustain marketing

Execution Excellence

  • Actively participate in the Devices and Creativity channel marketing community, ensuring effective communication and clarity
  • Deliver against timelines, budgets, and scorecards while also capitalizing on innovation opportunities
  • Drive creation and review of monthly and quarterly feedback/reporting in support of regular business milestones and digital/in-store execution excellence for Devices and Creativity
  • Analyze and share insights for the Devices and Creativity CSA, leveraging ratings & reviews, voice-of-the-customer and word-on-the-street feedback from our labor teams
  • Aggregate and leverage analytics and insights to create better investment strategies and execution across marketing investments to drive greater business impact
  • Ensure brand consistency and deep understanding of the customer, competitive and marketing landscape
  • Proficient across Microsoft programs, platforms and tools

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field AND proven digital, retail, channel marketing, marketing, retail sales, or commercial sales experience OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong and providen experience in Retail/Channel Marketing/Marketing/Retail Sales
  • Proven success at marketing and execution planning – particularly Retail Marketing with Consumer Technology products
  • Adept at building integrated marketing plans and campaigns across multiple marketing disciplines
  • Direct experience interfacing with partners and a proven track record delivering growth/performance metrics.
  • Understand the digital and physical buying journey (omni channel), well-versed in sales channels, commerce platforms. Expertise landing and coordinating cross-discipline marketing programs and sales programs.
  • Track record of marketing execution excellence and ROI through planning, operations-savvy, creative execution, readiness and analytics/insights
  • New product launch exerience
  • Experience managing ambiguity and rapid change – demonstrate agility and risk-taking
