We're currently recruiting for Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Specialists to be at the forefront of cloud transformation for our customers within UK Public Sector. Central Government are undergoing rapid digitalisation transformation of services needed to drive cross-government missions, drive innovation and achieve ambitious sustainability goals all at the same time. The Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Specialist roles are crucial in guiding customers through their digital transformation journey, with unrivalled potential to improve the lives of citizens throughout the UK and modernise the way government works.

As a Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Specialist aligned to some of our most important customers you will play a critical role in transforming their businesses to be fit for the future helping them 'Get AI Ready' leveraging the power of Azures cloud solutions. The Era of AI is here and some analysts believe Generative AI will significantly increase GDP, adding trillions of dollars to the global economy as well amplifying human ingenuity helping everyone achieve more. However, this can't be achieved without transformation so the successful candidates will lead a holistic technology conversation beyond gen AI, LLMs and machine learning to ensure customers have the AI infrastructure in place to lead the AI transformation staying ahead of the competition.

With a focus on specific solutions that include; Windows Server, SQL, SAP, HPC, Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) data, App Modernisation, Security & hybrid cloud, you will leverage your knowledge of the industries and our offerings to actively advocate products and solutions as a thought leader, while defining the overall core cloud strategy. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Account Management, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, Product and Engineering teams to define strategic goals that impact business metrics including business growth attainment, shorter business cycles, growing customer share and more. Using our own world class systems and tools, you will create opportunities to drive the adoption of Microsoft Azure solutions, making a real difference, delivering positive impact and creating value for customers through sustainable innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to our company-wide shared priority to realise our mission to ‘empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more’ by putting the customer at the centre of everything you do & obsess about ‘making a difference’ to them.
  • Empower the customer to leverage the unique value of the Microsoft Cloud to accelerate through business/organisational change & the energy transition.
  • Engage with executives, key decision makers & stakeholder from technology & the business to understand how Azure can drive transformation & innovation, using the breadth of Microsoft’s world leading Azure Solutions portfolio.
  • Act as a thought leader to define the cloud computing transformation strategy for the customer & within the Public Sector Industry – align this strategy to the customer’s business goals & market opportunity.
  • Engage with contacts across the breadth of their organisation—building relationships across both technical & business roles and forming true partnerships across your customer’s c-suite.
  • Drive industry-defining customer success stories, highlighting Public Sector transformation initiatives that positively impact your customer’s business, including sustainability.
  • Show a strong desire & be intentional at seeking out the competition and following a compete strategy to win establishing Microsoft further & the customers #1 transformation partner.
  • Your role will be focused on driving Azure adoption and growing the Microsoft Azure Solutions footprint within the customers.

Qualifications

Extensive experience of:

  • Identifying and solving unique and complex business challenges and solutions
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment for customer success
  • Good experience of Solution sales for Azure Infrastructure solutions or similar
  • Selling software-as-a-service or cloud-based business applications to enterprise customers
  • Deploying a ‘Challenger Sales Mindset’ - Extensively using insight to teach, tailor, take control & use constructive tension to influence the outcome
  • Showing ‘excellence in orchestration’ of complex internal & external ecosystems consisting of company teams, GSI partners, specialist partners & ISV's
  • Experience of working in Public Sector domain preferred, but not essential.

Deep Understanding of:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft’s cloud offerings or Competitors’ related ecosystem
  • Understanding of key infra-to-the-cloud workloads such as; Windows Server, SQL, SAP, HPC, Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) data, App Modernisation, Security & Adaptive cloud.
  • Adept at challenging perspectives with new ideas that reframes thinking about deriving value from Microsoft solutions.
  • Very strong presentation, white boarding, and negotiating skills
  • Technical Knowledge. Possess both business acumen expertise and technology knowledge to connect how customer business issues impact their IT environments
