Job Description

The Applied Sciences Group (ASG) is seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD student to join our team as a Research Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge research in the fields of Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), LLM/VLM based agents, and Generative Image & Video. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of experienced researchers and engineers to tackle real-world challenges and contribute to the advancement of AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in one or more of the following areas: LLMs, VLMs, and Generative Image & Video.
  • Design and implement experiments to test new hypotheses and validate research findings.
  • Develop and optimise algorithms and models for various AI applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to integrate research outcomes into practical solutions.
  • Present research findings to the team and contribute to publications and patents.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Strong background in LLMs, VLMs, or Generative Image & Video.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong track record of success, evidenced by publications in prestigious computer vision and machine learning conferences, including NeurIPS, ECCV, ICCV, CVPR.
  • Proven software engineering capabilities, evidenced by professional experience, internships, impactful open-source contributions, and success in coding competitions.
