Job Description

ISVs at Microsoft are unique in the sense they are both customers we sell to, and partners we co-sell with. To support the ‘sell to’ motion, these enterprise customers require streamlined sales, account, and technical enablement processes and resources. To support the ‘sell with’ motion, these customers need support in access to Microsoft’s broad base of industry customers, strong partnership and alignment with our GPS team, in addition to taking advantage of all of our partner products and services. As tech centric organizations, ISVs expect technical depth across common scenarios and access to PG via a “level 300”, single named source.

We’re looking for an exceptional talent to be part of an exciting new EMEA motion to lead the development and growth of the EMEA ISV business.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical discussions with customers leveraging processes and tools, demos and programs; using consultative sales methodology and technical expertise to influence customer vision; establish rules of engagement for extended teams. Support the creation of new pipelines in the account team by identifying new opportunities.
  • Build technology strategy by mapping the agreed customer business outcomes into an appropriate Azure technology framework, resolving concerns, preventing and removing technical blockers, and translating technology complexity into business impact. Work with the customer, account team, and partners to drive and support the customer’s AI transformation inclusive of AI Applications and data foundation.
  • Design the solution using your technical knowledge, architect skills and consulting skills to win a customer’s technical decision and meet the customer’s needs; drive Pilots/Proof of Concepts (PoC) to create momentum for Minimum Viable Product (MVP), infusing AI technologies where appropriate and being technically proficient to do Proof of Concepts (PoC) with hands-on-skills.
  • Scale through partner by engaging in partner sell-with scenarios to carry out technical engagement activities, facilitating and managing partner resources and processes for Pilot/Proof of Concepts (PoC)/Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
  • Be the Trusted advisor and be proactive to find and understand customers’ pain points and design and offer the technical solution that aligns with the business case.
  • Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team and Global Black Belts to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.
  • Maintain and grow expertise in developer tools, cloud native architecture and technologies, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND some technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND several years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (App Innovation, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies).

Several years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.

Several years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
