Job Description

Microsoft Advertising empowers advertisers around the world to reach and expand their potential through paid search, native and retail solutions across digital channels.

We are seeking an Analytical Lead to develop insights for our top clients in the UK, to drive growth and help them reach their full potential. The successful candidate will be a strong data storyteller, with the technical skills to explore, extract, model and analyse data to create thought-provoking insights for advertisers. It is critical to have a robust understanding of the advertising ecosystem and excellent communication skills in order to land the insights with senior decision makers in a broad range of businesses. Through collaboration, robust planning, creative thinking and a strong appetite to learn and share, we’ll grow with our clients.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Explore our data, become an expert. Familiarize yourself with Microsoft Advertising data and ecosystem, building a deep understanding of our marketplace, advertiser and audience metrics, as well as related performance KPIs. You’ll use this knowledge to:
  • Model and analyze big data, creating amazing insights. You will show real curiosity and spirit to innovate, using sophisticated analytical models and data visualizations to extract thought-provoking insights that highlight the most relevant opportunities for our clients. With those insights you will:
  • Meet with our clients, illuminating their advertising potential. You will be working closely with our Sales partners to plan and deliver your work. You will participate in client meetings, where you will present thought-provoking insights to business decision makers, in order to help them grow and fully maximize their potential. To elevate your own insights and storytelling, you will:
  • Develop deep vertical expertise. You will spend time consuming industry news and third-party data. You’ll keep a close eye on our marketplace dynamics to get a good understanding of supply and demand, as well as industry trends and disruptors. Not only will your insights be sharper, but you will be able to prioritize your work better and build the ability to influence our strategic direction internally as well. This is the flywheel that will make you:
  • Become a trusted analytics advisor to both clients and internal partners; a data expert who knows the industry and can speak comfortably to senior marketers about data, analytics, and how to build advertising success. An ambassador for Microsoft’s customer-first approach – you will anticipate and address client challenges effectively, leveraging that earned trust to drive increased investment with Microsoft Advertising.
