Mars has established the Growth, Digital and Platforms (GDP) unit pursuant to the recognition that digital value creation and digital enablement will form one of the key pillars of the global strategy to transform the experience of pet ownership. As part of this digital transformation agenda, Mars now seeks a proven Vice President of Digital Products, Marketing & Personalization. The role will report to the Global Chief Digital Officer for Mars Petcare and will work closely with senior global petcare and divisional leadership teams.

THE JOB

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leadership team, which will take Mars Petcare into its next phase of growth, innovation and connection with pet parents. As VP of Digital Product for Marketing &. Personalisation within this global, multi-billion, multi-industry organization, this leader will be critical ensuring the development of an industry-leading marketing technology stack at Mars Petcare, which will impact Mars Incorporated as a whole.

They will partner with business and technology & data leaders across Mars to ensure an outcome-based digital product development approach in solving the most opportune challenges for pet parents and the business alike. Being part of the most senior level of digital product management within Mars Petcare, they will orchestrate and lead the definition and anchoring of the product craft so that it maximizes value creation towards our strategic ambitions.

This role is critical to the success of our product organization and divisions to align on outcomes and priorities, develop roadmaps, deliver on product rollouts and strategic partnership with our divisions to ensure maximum value creation for the consumer and the business.

This role will be responsible for architecting a cohesive, flexible and highly scalable marketing platform that will enable the ambitions of our global marketing and growth community. With a keen focus on substantial growth to be created between now and our 2030 agenda, this role be a critical enabler of the success we are working towards. The initial product oversight includes the Marketing and Personalisation platforms, including SSO, CRM, Customer Care, and CDP with room to grow into additional products over time.

What are we looking for?

  • A degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA / Master degree preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic planning, operational excellence, and product management, with a focus on delivering tangible results

MUST HAVE

  • 10+ years in Product Development, 7+ in leadership position. Experience in managing marketing and/or customer data platforms required.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience performing data analyses to inform strategic recommendations, with a track record of delivering data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Experience with digital operating models, scaled agile methodologies, and driving implementation across an organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business units.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in tracking and reporting on transformation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Influencing and collaborating closely with executive leadership roles to drive performance improvement and change management topics, specifically within large organizations (preferably complex, multinational companies).

  • Experience in Service and/or CPG industries
  • Qualifications in Engineering and/or Data sciences

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • - Define product strategy, manage vendors, and deploy features to optimize data usage for marketing across all channels.

    - Act as the subject matter expert for the core technology stack and drive innovation, modernization, and simplification.

    - Partner with lines of businesses to evolve tools and capabilities, ensuring alignment with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

    - Collaborate with global and divisional teams to unify needs, align on outcomes, and deliver on a cross-company roadmap.
