Join Our Team as a Veterinary Business Manager at Royal Canin!

Location: Field based role - the successful candidates needs to be based within the following territories, Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Reading, Swindon, Salisbury.

You will also be required to travel to Guernsey or Jersey twice a year and attend 2-3 pet shows per year which may include weekend work.

Package: £38,243 - £47,805 base salary + 20% bonus, company car, and private health care

The Sales Representative (VET) will drive accelerated growth in the Veterinary Business Pillar by achieving strategic goals through making direct calls on Veterinary Clinics and identifying opportunities which develop new business and increase points of distribution.

What are we looking for?

  • A Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Veterinary/Medical/Clinical/Scientific.
  • Proven working experience of business-to-business sales experience. Sales experience in a pet hospital or clinic is also desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pet nutrition preferred.
  • Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record with the ability to travel and be mobile weekly.
  • Ability to understand nutritional information and confidence in delivering training.
  • Data analysis skills including interpreting data.
  • Utilise CRM software and have a basic knowledge of Excel.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Achieve profitable sales growth objectives within assigned territory by utilizing strong selling skills while developing and understanding customer needs to increase growth of sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with key individuals within the clinics and continue to identify new potential clinics and set strategies to align customers for recommending Mars product as their primary therapeutic diet for their clients/patients.
  • Collaborate with your team and other company associates to provide valuable contributions to the company and provide customer insights to your regional team.
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, regional and company meetings/conference calls as required.
  • Complete weekly activity, expense, and other ad-hoc reporting as needed by your manager.
  • CPD training - supporting clinics ongoing, consultative selling, drive nutritional recommendations.
  • Driving annual execution plan for the veterinary team to push growth of sales ​
