This role is an exciting opportunity to join MARS Pet Nutrition Research & Development team as a Consumer Experience (CX) design manager. You will develop, deploy, and lead for R&D Consumer Experience product & proposition design capabilities globally to embed pet-parent-centric proposition design in our innovation process.

As the first Consumer Experience manager on the team you will have real ownership and responsibility to develop a Consumer Experience Design framework for MARS Pet Nutrition to transform our capability to translate pet parents' need states, pain points, delights, behavior, and motivations, into holistic preferred product experience.

The role will provide R&D leadership in consumer and sensory understanding to peers and cross-functional partners (global and regional) to deploy the framework which will ensure the consumer-centricity of our product design.

The CX framework will have to be integrated to our current product development lifecycle as well as innovation management processes, to ensure consistent quality of our proposition design.

The role will champion and take responsibility to train the consumer technical community to the new framework and deliverables.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop an integrated CX framework that creates high-quality CX deliverables for our innovation process. The framework will enable to collect, research, investigation, and evaluate pet and pet parents' needs and translate them into high-quality CX product design brief

  • CX knowledge management

  • Deliver training and up-skilling of insight community

  • Build strong internal and external networks in the CX space

  • Consistently keeps the breadth of the latest and emerging techniques in CX

Experiences & Skills Needed:

  • University degree ideally in the field of CX/UX, anthropology, psychology, behavioral sciences

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in FMCG industry designing proposition experiences

  • Knowledge and experience in consumer research qualitative & quantitative (as a must) and sensory analysis (nice to have)

  • Recent achievements in CX Experience in Research &Development or Research &Innovation department

  • Can work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the team, (UX/UI) designers, developers, and other stakeholders

  • Fluent in English, verbal & written

  • UK Salary Range (annual base pay): £ 78 000 - £ 102 000
    GER Salary Range (annual base pay): € 126 000 - € 158 000
    US Salary Range (annual base pay): $ 163 000 - $ 205 000
