This role is a project-based transformation role and has a current expected end date of ‘31st December 2026’. As we continue to prioritize Sustainability as a core to our continued success in Mars Wrigley, we are looking for a Sustainability Digital Core Senior Lead to bring knowledge and leadership to build our foundational sustainability digital ecosystem, deliver fit-for-purpose digital enablers, drive technology advancements and best practice adoption across Mars Wrigley in sync with our ongoing transformation programs and corporate sustainability strategy. This role will partner closely with the Mars Snacking Digital Core team, the Mars Snacking D30 Sustainability and DD2S teams, and the Mars Corporate Digital Core Sustainability team, as well as other internal and external partners.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business Management, demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 7+ years of technical experience with special focus in designing and deploying sustainability systems and tools, along with their integration with data and analytics and ERP technologies
  • Experience mapping tools and systems to end to end processes in service of efficient and robust ecosystem design, and guiding analysis for additional fit for purpose solutions to address gaps or inefficiencies.
  • Experience in managing large software implementation projects with multiple integrations and dependencies with other projects/programs
  • Ability to deliver compelling and confident presentations centered on system development and design and its value connection to process
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships across internal technical and business stakeholder groups
  • Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity and give clear advice and leadership to internal and external team

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Co-create the Mars Wrigley specific sustainability digital agenda based on existing business requirements and gap assessments partnering extensively with functional and digital leaders on the corporate and transformation (D30) program teams.
  • Lead gap assessment to ensure that new D30 sustainability requirements relevant to digital core systems are captured in system design, and work with transformation teams to identify and solve for process gaps serving those requirements.
  • Drive and ensure effective selection and design of the appropriate digital solutions within the sustainability scope, ensuring full alignment to Mars Wrigley’s wider digital strategy and Mars Corporate’s wider sustainability strategy to meet and exceed the strategic goals.
  • Continuously bring external expertise in to share best practices for sustainability digital transformation that Mars can learn from and leverage
  • Apply program and project management best practice throughout, ensuring most effective use of resources and stakeholder engagement. Oversee program roadmaps and timelines and connect into broader transformation roadmaps and timelines.
  • Oversee Digital Core & Edge system deployment for Mars Wrigley Sustainability, including:
    • Build connections and integrations from Mars Wrigley sustainability solutions into & from broader Mars Corporate sustainability solutions and SAP S4 Hana.
    • Build a testing roadmap to ensuring connectivity and readiness of data for key sustainability activities (e.g., taxonomy mapping, annual reporting, connectivity of impact factors with activity data, analytics etc.)
    • Recommend training needs and development relevant to sustainability aspects of Digital Core systems
    • Ensure knowledge is transferred to steady state product teams as transformation activities close.
  • Work with sustainability data & solution architects to ensure requirements and system builds consider data quality, audit and emerging controls requirements.
  • Oversee project activities like digital budget management, planning and status reporting, scope control, change management, and people leadership, amongst other dimensions.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with external partners to ensure quality support is provided as needed, manage licensing provision and TCO.
