The Data & AI Stewardship Lead – Supply Domain is part of the Chief Data Office Organization within Mars Snacking, directly supporting the Global Director of Enterprise & AI Stewardship and Delivery – Supply Domain. In this pivotal role, the lead will be partnering with regional, global and transformational Functional Leads to effectively analyse, document, organize, optimize and orchestrate all aspects of enterprise data, including the data foundation, analytics and AI.

What are we looking for?

  • The role will also be responsible for driving user adoption of the capabilities for the scope within Supply Domain business and collaborate with the enterprise data governance program office to periodically publish KPI metrics, share learnings, celebrate successes, and coordinate escalations. This role ensures seamless coordination, optimization, and delivery of data-driven insights while helping advancement of AI capabilities for Supply function scope.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Support the Global Director – Data & AI Stewardship and Delivery – Supply Domain in the leadership and execution of a fully integrated Data and AI stewardship strategy for Supply domain.
    • Align stewardship efforts with business objectives and priorities.
    • Guide Global and Regional functional Leads with data & AI enabled automation opportunities to simplify and automate business processes in digitization journey.
    • Develop and execute templates and frameworks for the capture of complex data design, functional and business process metadata
    • Build a backlog to support data improvements, quick wins and prioritization for Supply
  • Data Governance, Quality, and Metadata Management Orchestration:
    • Capture data object and critical data element mappings against business functions and processes within Supply
    • Facilitate adherence to data governance policies, and guide the management of data standards, and execution of data quality discipline across E2E Supply Chain function scope.
    • Collaborate closely with the Data Governance program office and data technology capability teams to ensure functional requirements are addressed and prioritized by various DG council and SteerCo forums as necessary.
    • Collaborate with the Data Architecture program office to produce a technology-agnostic logical data model which serves all aspects of Supply function while supporting enterprise-wide capability
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams (as necessary) to address ethical considerations related to data use in AI.
    • While redesigning and sustaining the Supply function, ensure the metadata is captured, curated, and maintained overtime so it stays FAIR i.e. Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.
  • Data in support of AI/Analytics Deployment for Plan to Deliver:
    • Analyse, document, optimize and orchestrate plans for fit-for-AI/Analytics data to enable functional use cases for Supply Domain.
    • Work closely with the data architects, data modelers/engineers, data scientists and AI engineers to ensure data is mapped, tested and ready for analytics models.
    • Coordinate with the Supply Domain transformation team to continuously improve, monitor, and publish KPI metrics related to usage adoption of analytic and AI capabilities.
  • Cross-functional, market and regional collaboration:
    • Work closely with data stewards and custodians from global, regions, markets, etc. to orchestrate timely and right level of support for data issues across Supply.
    • Engage with and manage relationships with business and digital technology stakeholders to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
    • Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities effectively.
  • Continuous improvement and Innovation:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
    • Adapt data stewardship processes to evolving needs within E2E Supply Chain area.
    • Support change management and data literacy/training needs of Supply domain scope.
  • Coaching and Guiding the Data & AI Stewardship Community:
    • Guide and or manage data stewards for a durable data culture at Mars Snacking.
