Location : Slough (UK), other locations possible in France and the Netherlands (see other postings)
The role is responsible to maintain and continuously improve the Mars Quality Management System (QMS) that supports the delivery of our quality commitment across Mars Global Services (MGS) services lines enrolled in QMS compliance. The MGS Quality Management System Lead provides functional leadership to implement, maintain and improve the QMS for the MGS layer of our business to ensure that activities performed in this part of our business conform with Mars quality expectations. The role will govern and verify implementation of the requirements partnering with stakeholders and service lines QMS to ensure ongoing progress. This roles entails up to 20% Global travel and ability to flex hours to support Global Communities.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in a science field, preferably in food safety science or medical science
7+ years experience working with Quality Management Systems
Lead auditor, strong knowledge and proven implementation of QMS and/or Food Safety Management System at segment, business unit, or factory level as well as knowledge of QMS governance across organizational layers
Good knowledge of metrics, statistics and reporting methods to interrogate audit output data and identify insights for improvement
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence senior leaders and their teams across all segments, all regions and across multiple functions
Strong planning and project management skills
Strong communication skills, be able to craft concise messages, deliver technical training and communicate escalations and risk clearly to multiple stakeholders
Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrable record of successful project team leadership, ability to motivate and engage superior and peers
What will be your key responsibilities?
Lead the development and continuous improvement at MGS of the QMS standard and required practices to ensure the quality expectations are fit for purpose, relevant to Mars quality strategy and benchmarked on industry practices
Lead the creation of the deployment plan, communication and training tools to effectively deploy the QMS standard across MGS Service Lines in scope.
Lead the development of QMS compliance self-reporting approach and tool
Lead the alignment of segment QMS compliance targets, compliance plans and approval of concessions to QMS
Define and maintain QMS training competency with train the trainer process for the MGS service lines
Lead MGS quality metric reporting to enable QMS governance, includes metrics management process, target alignment, continuous improvement of the process and digital system
Ongoing management of the MGS QMS includes leading the following activities
Lead the development and implementation of the MGS QMS by seamlessly integrating Quality management requirements within key functional areas such as MGS R&D Solutions, Commercial, any other MGS Service line in scope.in consultation with respective service lines QMS Lead
Development of the MGS QMS documentation in compliance with Mars Inc process requirements
Accountable for the management of the MGS Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) process across all MGS service lines.
Leads the MGS Quality Management Review to assess performance and improvement needs of the MGS Services lines QMS
Lead the global QMS digital systems landscape deployment across all MGS Service Lines in support of compliance and adherence to the QMS
Lead the QMS Service lines Community of Practice in providing a forum for the development and communication of best practices and learnings across MGS Service Lines
Perform Technical and Internal audits for MGS Service lines to verify adequacy and compliance of current business processes
