Salary from £30,000 to £38,000 dependent on experience with annual bonus and excellent benefits
We have a fantastic opportunity to join Mars as a Quality and Food Safety Technologist! The purpose of your role is to support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System, and to manage initiatives that will ensure the site is fully complaint to all global Quality and Food Safety standards. You’ll act as an expert in Quality and Food Safety standards and processes, providing technical support across functions and operations.
You’ll be supported in your development from day one and will receive externally recognised training to become the site sterilisation expert, ensuring global standards are met by the site and adhered to. We can also offer training for Lead Auditor qualifications and standards training relevant to the role, therefore we’re open to applications from candidates in Quality roles within different industries looking to move into Food Safety.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in leading and managing projects in an FMCG environment.
- Experience in developing and managing auditing programmes.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to work as part of an effective team.
- Desirable: Lead Auditor certification.
- Desirable: Recognised qualification in a relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent experience in an FMCG environment.
- Desirable: Direct experience of food product design and food manufacturing processes.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Supporting and managing the implementation and maintenance of the site Quality Management System (QMS).
- Identification of opportunities to drive continuous improvement in the scope and effectiveness of the site QMS
- Management of projects and initiatives that will ensure the effective operation and improvement of the site QMS
- Engagement and training of associates from all functions in the importance and operation of the QMS
