Job Purpose:

The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the Quality & Food safety of all products manufactured at the site by managing a robust Quality Management and Quality Assurance Program (QMP & FSSC 22000 V6). Ensuring compliance of the Global Food Safety & GMP/GHP Standards through the design of supporting systems, training, validation and auditing. Drive and deliver continuous quality improvement initiatives within the Mars manufacturing facility working with Operations, Engineering, Logistics, etc. The Q&FS Technologist is part of the KLN Q&FS Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Quality Management

  • Packaging Quality Management

  • Support operations with operational issues and troubleshooting specifically pertaining to Raw material and/or packaging.

  • KQA data analysis and trending

  • Consumer Complaints data analysis, investigation and reporting

  • Lead relevant workstreams required to troubleshoot Raw material, packaging and/or KQA issues

  • Allergen Management including conducting validations

  • Member of the Food Safety Management/HACCP Team

  • Food Defence Site Lead

  • PRIMP Incident owner

  • Owner of certain Q&FS Standards including gap analysis, roadmaps to compliance, CI and reporting on progress to compliance

  • Q&FS Member of the Site implementation team (New product and Process Implementation)

  • Site Sanitation and Validation of Sanitation protocols including environmental monitoring programme

  • Conduct Periodic GMP Inspections

  • Conduct Internal audits

  • Support Thermal Process activities

This Role will require the associate to work collaboratively, not just in the Q&FS Team, but also with cross-functional teams, managing and meeting the expectations of all stakeholders. In addition to this, the associate in this role will be networking and working with global Q&FS Teams across the segment. They will need good prioritization skills, good planning ability, collaborative working, customer focus, to be results driven, effective communication and the ability to effectively manage conflict.
