Production Improvement Technician

  • Slough

  • Permanent

  • £44,000-£48,000 and performance related company bonus

Join our dynamic team as a Production Improvement Technician, where you will play a vital role in driving loss elimination initiatives within our Value Stream. Your expertise will support the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodology, helping to realize our objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a TPM manufacturing environment.

  • Mechanical and technical aptitude.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proven ability to motivate and relate to diverse teams.

  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP.

What would be your key responsibilities?

Focused Improvement & Problem Solving

  • Utilize Focused Improvement methodologies to tackle operational challenges and lead basic problem-solving initiatives.

  • Actively engage in and guide projects and task groups aimed at enhancing safety, quality, performance, people engagement, and cost efficiency.

  • Collaborate across functions—Engineering, Reliability/Maintenance, R&D—to implement improvements and manage external contractors effectively.

  • Conceptualize and execute small projects aligned with the Value Stream strategy.

  • Develop, update, and oversee factory documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), 5S practices, and operational standards

  • Drive corrective and preventative actions stemming from improvement initiatives.

Focused Improvement – Loss Analysis

  • Conduct data analysis to pinpoint losses and their underlying causes.

  • Oversee tools and systems that measure and enhance production line efficiency.

  • Serve as a key user for relevant systems, ensuring effective project verification and benefit realization

Factory Management Operations System

  • Engage actively in factory management systems, providing coaching and support.

  • Take ownership of performance KPIs to drive results
